| alrighty then,
COMMUNITY CHALLENGE!!!!!!!!!!!
i see lots of members referencing the misc. Feather ( broken green leaf off
of part 30176)
even Comics Guy (oh no... ) made a comic about it.
i have found a use for the Feather
so i am presenting a Challenge to you all.
the Community Challenge is:
Create your best version of Yankee Doodle
not sure who Yankee Doodle is...?
he was an American Superhero from the late 1700's.. you can look him up for
specs.
but there was a song about him, it goes
"Yankee Doodle went to town
riding on a pony
stuck a feather in his hat
& called it Macaroni"
Challenge will be open for 1 week, post pics of your creation,
1st place wins: 30% off coupon to our store
2nd place wins: 15% off coupon to our store
3rd place wins: 4% off coupon to our store
*stipulations: feather must naturally fit into hat part, no drilling or alternate
means to attach it to the hat.
any figure,
any horse,
any hat that feather fits into
any accessories allowed
let's see what you can create

oh i am fine with the pricing on that figure...
considering there are only 193 figures being offered for sale in the USA from
147 sellers.
but i am glad you think.
it will get you very far in life

I think he was referring to how even with a 40% off coupon it would still be
more expensive to get that figure from your store since on average it only sells
for about $4.50 everyone is free to price at whatever they want and I don’t
think it was meant in a mean way

| Oh please, those are only priced so high because I would still like them for
my collection but thought that it would be worth it if they were to sell for
those prices.

awwww you post a comment bashing the items in my store, which has Zero to do
with a friendly community challenge, then accuse me of being "Hostile"
because i called out the hypocrisy someone else pointed out about your items
being high priced.

are you sure about that? If someone wins the challenge they get a coupon not
a flat rate discount to your store so even with the coupon due to high prices
it still wouldn’t make sense to shop do to the high prices. Some people genuinely
don’t care about prices they pay and sellers are free to price at whatever they
want (and sellers pricing high helps all sellers out ) but it does have something
to do with this challenge

| For my entry, I decided to play on the historical origins of the song (I.E. a
hick in formal-yet-garish clothing), and my recent work on Pirates Catalog entries
brought the idea together as an American pirate captain who goes by the name
“Yankee Doodle” to taunt the Imperial Guards from whom he steals!
