I might be the only one with this thought... but... there should be some kind
of protocol/system in place for new users and being able to use the NSS and Feedback
all willy nilly like. I don't think a lot of new buyers understand what NSS
or Neutral feedback does to a seller.. even an established one.

I just got my first NSS, but he received the order, just missing 1 item. I messaged
him, shipped the item AND refunded him and he still filed NSS... I don't
even fully know what to do next other then write my reply to the initial filing.
Suggestions?

But it's things like this that can mess a good seller up or get them off
their game.

Also.. NEUTRAL FEEDBACK! It shouldn't go against our positive, yet it does.
There should be a disclaimer as someone hits the send button on neutral that
says "are you sure? Hitting this button makes this person's positive
feedback lessen.. are you suuuuuuuureeeee?????"

Penny for your thoughts?

For the nss if the entire order wasn’t shipped (example 1 piece missing) technically
there is nothing wrong with filling an NSS. It can easily be removed if you send
a refund and message the help desk with a photo of the refund

Don't waste your time and effort with the regular BL Help Desk.

Use the new Help Desk Portal for faster, more helpful response:

https://helpdesk.bricklink.com/Main/

My past experiences with the Help Desk Portal were many months ago. But I was
able to get satisfactory resolution in about 72 hours on the few occasions I
used it.

Good Luck.

No matter how many other Positive FB a seller accumulates, their FB score can
never go back to 100 percent, just because of one Neutral FB.

In the past I have mentioned the idea of having the neutral score fade away over
time or after a certain number of additional Positive Feedbacks. For example,
for every 500 Positives, have the neutral be reduced by .01 percent.

Don't make it easy, but DO make it so that a really good seller can eventually
get back to 100.00 Percent.

So far, this idea has not gained any traction.

* * *

My ultimate wish would be for the FB score rating to simply disappear.
The same for displaying the number of Cancelled orders.

It can if the positive feedback percentage is rounded like other numbers on BL.
20000+ positives should wipe out a non-positive feedback in the percentage.

I would prefer it if the feedback % was based on the feedback from the last year.
Stores can get better (or worse) over time. That was one neutral from 5 years
ago won't hurt a currently well performing store, but a store with 5k feedback
but a rash of recent negs will show it up.

Yes, that is an option to help minimise the score from a neutral or negative
from the past. Of course it also has the opposite effect of "hurting"
a store more if you get a new neutral feedback, since only recent positives should
also count and years of positive feedback cannot be used to offset a new non-positive
one.

Yes, I've suggested this many times myself. Even eBay does this.

  Penny for your thoughts?

Received a Neutral 2 weeks ago:

I didn’t get some pieces, probably because I lost it. But it’s not fake.

Ermm?

Anyway, zero communication, neither by e-mail, message or contact
I tried, but no reply, I'd have fixed any problem.

As a seller, you simply can't do anything in some cases.

I still wonder how some shops have ZERO Neutral or Negative - just luck?

I honestly can't even decipher what that means. I had a buyer recently who
left a neutral feedback because he ordered parts received parts correct parts
then emailed me and said he didn't mean to order those parts and wanted me
to correct his mistake for free. Not send back the pieces and switch them out
he just wanted me to correct his screw up so he left a neutral feedback saying
he got the wrong color although he admitted he ordered the wrong color. So he
didn't receive the wrong color, he received the correct color but didn't
mean to order that color.

This also goes along with my theory that I believe everyone should work in the
service industry at least some point in their early adulthood because no one
would act like that.

Volunteering for service and “forced” conscription are two different things with
different results.
It also greatly depends on how it’s done: tedious and useless tasks (“if it moves,
salute it, if it doesn’t paint it”), favouritism (exemptions, cushy positions,
etc.), and so on.

(Saying that as one of the last French to be conscripted, in a semi-cushy position
thanks to education.)

Israel does it and it seems like they can beat all threats and they are a small
isolated nation. I was drafted and stayed in. I would say one year, at the most,
to serve the various countries that have given so much to their citizens. It
is a small price for protection, freedom, and for choice in their lives. It
gives citizens a view that there is just "me" and it is for others only
to sacrifice to maintain freedom.
Just an opinion, observation, and experience of a 75 year old guy who has lived
around the world for many years. Nothing more.

Israel is in a rather unique position.  You could also take Switzerland as an
example, or Finland, or look at the map here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conscription#History
and cherry pick your ‘good’ examples.

I was just giving the French example (long history of conscription since the
Révolution).
And I could cherry pick ‘bad’ examples on the same map

You’ll again say I’m always adverse to new things and solutions but the thing
is that “simple solutions” are never simple and rarely solve anything.

Not Switzerland, it even maintained it neutrality during WWII. And did not even
join the United Nations after that war.
I am really coming from a USA point of view. Young people are so different when
I go to Ft Bliss. There is such a change in the demeanor from there and the
US population in general. And it is just a an opinion. Quite personal. And
I do not believe I am 100% correct. But I do see a difference and I do not think
the current generation would learn nothing from discipline and belonging. It
is nice to belong to something more substantial than being a supporter of local
football team.

I still wonder how some shops have ZERO Neutral or Negative - just luck?

I went to about 1100 feedbacks, all positives. Finally, there was one buyer who
screwed the perfectness of my feedback score. God knows why he left a neutral
feedback and was so determined to not answer my emails and resolve any issue.
My guess: he has another account that I stoplisted so he took his retaliation
in this manner.

Otherwise, I had received about 20 neutral and negative feedbacks. They were
almost all my mistakes. I contacted buyers and resolved issues and they requested
them to remove their feedbacks. It always worked except with the last one.

Another thing is that I check other seller's feedbacks regularly (via forum,...)
and stoplist difficult buyers

Relax, you are not the only one. Read our last neutral feedback

We don't offer money for feedback removal, so our percentage isn't as
high. I don't think it affects potential buyer. Unfair buyers got on our
stop list.

As for NSS, show help desk your tracking and they'll remove it.

been selling online on various sites for 15 years..

buying & selling.

negatives & neutrals happen.
maybe the missing piece made 3 year old jennie cry for 14 hours straight.. parents
need to vent that out somewhere or it was a 14 year old looking to score some
freebie stuff online.
who knows why.

it's actually a compliment if a buyer has to scroll through pages of positive
feedback in order to find a flaw....

stay professional, remedy the problem regardless of buyer happiness level, extend
apologies & focus on your game.
