A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away….
A NEW HOPE FOR PRICES!!

It is a period of price gauging.
Price drops, striking
from a hidden sale, have won
their first 100 orders against
the evil Galactic BrickOwl.

During the battle, Rebel
spies managed to steal secret
plans of BrickOwl’s
ultimate weapon, the PRICE
GAUGER, an armored space
station with enough power
to destroy an entire wallet.

Pursued by BrickOwl and Flego brand’s
sinister agents, Bricks of Faith
races to make the price of Star Wars
Legos cheap, custodian of the
stolen plans that can save their
Wallet and restore
freedom to BrickLink...

We have an EPIC sale going on right now on ALL Star Wars Lego sets, minifigures,
Minifig parts, and more!! Come on down to bricks of Faith! This sale won’t last
long!

https://store.bricklink.com/BricksOfFaith&utm_content=globalnav#/shop

If you think this \/ then you are wrong!

I hate to be a little nitpicky here, but it is price "gouging",
not "gauging".

Gouge and gauge are two completely different things.

Besides that, fun read.

I’m still wondering why it’s still spelt “gauge” when it’s pronounced “gage.”

Apparently, it comes from the Old Norman gauger, which is related to the
Modern French jauger, of similar meaning: https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/gauge

So, French?

Yeah, but we, we pronounce it as it’s written: /ʒoʒe/… er, okay, well, “au” =
/o/ in French, and final “er” = /e/, but it’s consistent!  Not like English!

And while we’re at it: “gaol” for “jail.”  Seriously?

(Yes, from old French “gaiole,” modern French “geôle” /ʒol/ (well, not exactly
“modern” French as it’s rather literary and we more commonly say “prison”), but
still.)

And I keep wondering why we used the same word, spelled the same way, but said
slightly differently for "read" in present and past tenses.

And then I keep wondering about "rough" (ruff) and "tough" (tuff)
but not "cough" (coff instead of cuff) or "dough" (doe instead
of duff)...

Ah, forget it. English is a screwy language.

Yeah, I try to forget about that long list: http://ncf.idallen.com/english.html

But, see, that’s the problem here: you all quit before even trying to fix it!
(And you don’t even have a bunch of co-opted old know-nothings-but-like-to-cosplay
working against you!)
