I want to build a white background and a black tunnel. I want to use a white
arch 1x8x2. What slopes fit under the arch to make a seamless transition?

Slope, Curved 4 x 1 x 2 2/3 with Stud
Either this piece, or the smaller version might work.
Thanks, Noah

How do you fit twice 4 studs in a 6-stud hole?
And if by “smaller version,” you mean
then, no, it doesn’t fit seamlessly. There’s nothing that seamlessly fits 16577.

Maybe use 2x : a vertical will fit.
Or 2x with 4x4 round plates/tiles.

Are those tje alternate item numbers 6183 and 24434?
Or is it more complicated than that?

Not many, as has already been pointed out.
You see, the purpose of arches is to create an archway over an entrance where
you would naturally place minifigs and anything that would be good to model underneath
it.
If you want to go for that filled in look, just brick up behind the arch, oftentimes
that is done in real world constructions. They didn't bother trying to fill
the arch, they just bricked it up.
Cheers ...

Space is limited, so I was hoping to keep it to 1 brick thickness.
This is what happens when you change plans after you're done building something
massive and then adding a detail becomes impossible.

First, you wrote this.
This is what happens when you change plans after you're done building something
massive and then adding a detail becomes impossible.
Then you wrote this. You have something massive and space is limited to 1 brick
thickness.
That makes no sense at all!
If you have something massive, it surely could afford an extra brick's width
of space, no?
Or is it just not massive enough?
Cheers ...

Sometimes the constraints we impose on ourselves, are arbitrary.
Why not use Mega Bloks?

Wow, several unhelpful/snarky replies. Wish I could say I was surprised. Try
this:
Tiles can actually fit flush against one of the inside surfaces of the arch.
They can be supported by plates and brackets in many ways. In the arrangement
pictured, the tile-plate-bracket assembly fits perfectly beneath, and while it
doesn’t follow the curve of the arch it does maintains a one-brick thickness.
Hopefully this gives you some helpful ideas to solve your problem.

these pages deal with several of the arches, but sadly did not include a build
for tese.
Might be interesting pages to look at to look for alternatives though.
