Hi all,
I was checking the prices in one of my MOCs and saw the prices for these parts:
Ratio is above 33:1!
Okay, they are rather rare (1+1 in one brickhead and 0+2 in another)… well, I
guess Sally gets parted out way more often than Bobba
Anyway, there’s 5 of each in the MOC. The 24299s alone double the total price.
I don’t (and didn’t) intend to build it. It’s just something I made following
a series of MOCs. But, phew! that was a surprise!

Agree, the left ones of those are far too expensive
Something's not right here.

That's neither a left nor a right wedge!

It's possible that one of these was found in bulk/available through PAB.

Oopsies, silly me, I didn’t consider Charles Dickens, I just counted
in my “1+1 vs. 0+2.”
So that’s more “1+1 x 0.00001” vs “0+2 + 0+4”.
So the availability ratio is more about 0.0001:6. No mystery that the price
ratio is 33:1 then
Still, why isn’t there a rule at LEGO to balance left+right pairs in sets, at
least per year?
IOW, we go back the eternal question: Why LEGO doesn’t make the parts _I_
want?

Yeah it was really confusing when I was working on the inventory but I never
built the set so I didn't worry to much

although the support guy said that we should turn the water to it off (after
the whole houses water was off) by turning the blue knob and not the red one.
however we only had 2 red ones but it seems to be fixed. although the 3rd red
one is for the natural gas heating but we didn't turn it off since it seems
to be fine? I hope? maybe I should get business insurance quickly

For a production PC
Rule n°1: have an UPS
Rule n°2: never sit the PC directly on the ground (flood, insects, pets...) -
and same for its power cables, plugs, UPS...

The water heater should be in a water heater pan with a drainage pipe leading

Yeah, that was the point of the message.

Sometimes when someone designs a military MOC and sells the instructions for
it (like Brickmania,) it might use a rare part which creates a run on that part.
I don't specifically know of any military MOC that uses that piece, but
I think it's very likely that a dark green wedge plate like that could be
used in a tank or something similar.
When you look at the prices on LEGO 3rd party military vehicle kits that include
both instructions and all the parts, it's possible that those could be our
culprit.
