of orders??
I'd provide the easiest/shortest access to most sold items.
You should not rely on Catalog or such, like organizing per item ref,
category or worse, color.
Apart this, as it depends your room(s) size and configuration, so there's
no real "universal" reply.

Drawers. Some use bags but thousand of drawers and hundreds of boxes works pretty
well
