Please make changes to the following inventory:

Set No: 6693 Name: Recycle Truck
*
6693-1 (Inv) Recycle Truck
98 Parts, 2 Minifigures, 1987
Sets: Town: Classic Town: Traffic

* Delete 2 Part 4081b Red Plate, Modified 1 x 1 with Light Attachment - Thick Ring
* Add 2 Part 4081a Red Plate, Modified 1 x 1 with Light Attachment - Thin Ring

Comments from Submitter:
This is a mistake. It is clearly stated in the instructions that it is type 4081A. No type B. The form does not allow me to change the type of part. Therefore I deleted the original one and added the correct one.

The set did come with thick rings

Part No: 4081b Name: Plate, Modified 1 x 1 with Light Attachment - Thick Ring
*
4081b Plate, Modified 1 x 1 with Light Attachment - Thick Ring
Parts: Plate, Modified {Red}

as it can be seen in the photo attached in this old inv. change request for this
set:

https://www.bricklink.com/messageThread.asp?ID=261063

The red ring is inside a sealed bag.

Just because the instructions show a certain type of part variation does not
mean it is the correct variation. Many instructions through the years have had
typographical errors including color errors.

Boxes can also show the wrong part variation or minifigure.

Part No: 4081b Name: Plate, Modified 1 x 1 with Light Attachment - Thick Ring
*
4081b Plate, Modified 1 x 1 with Light Attachment - Thick Ring
Parts: Plate, Modified
because this set was produced and released at the time the transition between
the two variants happened but the instructions and box arts were designed few
months earlier than when the new variant 4081b was produced.

For us, these two variants are different but for TLG, they thought they changed
the variant and improved its quality a little bit to make it less fragile and
there were no need to change instructions to reflect this.

Boxes can also show the wrong part variation or minifigure.

It does not matter what variant on the box is printed. Type A or Type B or
Type non-existent. In any case, 4081b should be in the inventory because all
copies of this set came with 4081b. If some early copies came with 4081a and
later copies came with 4081b, then 4081a had to be in the regular section and
4081b in the alternate section, like sets:

Set No: 7745 Name: High-Speed City Express Passenger Train
*
7745-1 (Inv) High-Speed City Express Passenger Train
695 Parts, 10 Minifigures, 1985
Sets: Train: 12V
and

Set No: 7817 Name: Crane Wagon
*
7817-1 (Inv) Crane Wagon
143 Parts, 1 Minifigure, 1985
Sets: Train: 4.5V

Although you can't see very clear which type is in the image of
https://www.bricklink.com/messageThread.asp?ID=261063

Instruction- and box images are no evidence for part variants. So unfortunately
we can't approve this request based on instruction images only.
