I only have a small store with limited storage space so I can't drop all
new parts into fresh drawers. While verifying, except for a few high volume items,
I have to find existing stock in other colours and consolidate new stock in the
same draw. I then use remarks to keep track of the draw numbers.
At 2am today, having almost finished logging a couple of 2000 peice sets, while
moving between screens, instead of switching tab, I closed the one with the almost
complete verification and so losing all the remarks. I now have to go back through
the whole process again but this time laboriously and methodically opening draws
and then finding the corresponding parts in the list.
I can't believe that a process that can take hours to do, has no built in
protection from accidents.

Monkypaws.
perhaps try brickstore it may be what your looking for
But as another said, don't use bricklink to edit locations on a large part
out. To be fair bricklink didn't do anything wrong, you made a mistake that
was painful to fix (been there myself). Use Brickstock and save frequently for
your own peace of mind.

Cheers. Will take a look at your suggestions. Totally get it was my fault, horrible
moment when you try to process the howler you have just made. I only had a handful
of peices left to go. Am now having to go through opening drawers and check what
is in them and cross reference it with the list, chalk it up to the learning
curve.

I still have that tick from the constant crashings of BrickSotck... the renewed
BrickStore "almost" never crashes, and if so it autosaves the document
and shows it restored when reopening.

Or if you want to remain on bricklink only without using other software, use
the exclude all parts option in the part out. Untick the box for each lot as
you do them and you can stop and submit at any time.
