| I occasionally receive weird messages from buyers. One common aspect of these
messages is that no matter what I write back to them, I won't hear from
them any more. So , I decided to reply them with a weird message from now
on! Here is the first one:

My weird buyer message of the week is:-
"Please ship fast sir"
to which I reply "no problem can ship same day once invoice paid!"
A week passes and no payment or further communication? I can only assume the
buyer thinks I'm going to rush their order out the door without giving any
consideration to payment?

I get quite a few how much is shipping to XXX, where it is a country I do not
ship to. Sometimes I reply (especially if a new to BL buyer) and sometimes ignore.
I'm not a fan of the "What is the absolute minimum you will take for
XXX" type questions. I normally ignore but occasionally reply with the price
I have it listed for. Although after reading your reply maybe I should be replying
with a value higher than my asking price instead!
I think the weirdest one I have ever had is "Password?"
I assumed that they meant they wanted a bypass password, which I no longer do
after another buyer abused it. So I ignored it.
Again after reading yours I now wish I had replied: JD257546Jhdf25375468%ko2535fj2!o7523f&efjw8%DJJDO&H45LF£kejo3524JDJIJID7J34Bwef%fJIOJ754kk
with a follow up of "Sorry that should have been a 4 not a 7"

| When I first started as a seller, i had a buyer from Germany saying they NEED
pictures of a sealed set with a paper beside it with some weird number on it.
I laughed at them and replied that if I wanted to ship to Germany then I would
have made it that way. I didn’t even mention that I knew they were just going
to pretend to have the exact set on hand for THEIR store! 😂

I have done this  Sandwich between two pieces of paperboard, slap a Global
Forever stamp on it, maybe add the nonmachinable surcharge for good measure,
and it's good to go. No issues yet.

I thought Ithe system defaults to “PayPal on site.” Do you mean PayPal outside
of Bricklink? But I can’t pay with getting an invoice. And I can’t get an
invoice without submitting an order, which I’m prevented from doing.

That would be funny… but, as I understand it, the buyer thinks that “PP on site”
means “off site.” They can’t be told it’s correct.
I’m also thinking the first “with” should be a “without”: hey can’t pay on PP
without an invoice, they can’t get an invoice without an order, and they (somehow)
can’t order.
Anyway, simply answer the question in the title, not the confusing details in
the message: explain how ordering works in your store for a US buyer, keeping
it simple.
So, something like (but better written) “you place items in your cart, you check
out, you wait for an invoice, you click the pay button.”

I guess it would depend on which foot I woke up
But:
— maybe they only had IC stores,
— maybe the problem is that they indeed can’t checkout: there may be a technical
problem (I think you don’t have IC, so it wouldn’t be the usual “no-weight item”
but, well BL…).

It is fairly common on facebook to get similar things, such as my disabled child
needs the particular LEGO set you are selling, I cannot afford your high prices
so will you give me a discount.
It really take the p if they are also selling LEGO themselves.
