Ah, yes. THIS set. I bought some of those “Dark Purple” flowers (because this
inventory is obviously wrong) and I will reply to this thread when I receive
those flowers. My suspicion is that they’re Medium Violet (the other shade) and
they could have only come from this set.

It is highly unlikely that this set came with Dark Gray anything. That being
said, this set was inventoried 15 years ago and hasn’t been edited since, so
there are going to be some errors.
The two hippo molds look very similar, but I think the change request is a valid
one. The older hippo’s snout is bigger than the newer one’s. I believe the wrong
photo is being used for a Dark Bluish Gray 2276px1. It might not even exist and
they’re probably the newer baby hippo.
I can’t find evidence that this set came with a ‘Purple’ flower and it looks
like it was inventoried based on the photo, which can be very unreliable. The
‘Purple’ flower is more than likely Magenta (other listings also have Magenta
flowers) and the ‘Dark Purple’ flower is definitely wrong.
I was actually going to submit a change request for this set, but I wanted to
wait until I had irrefutable evidence to prove that a Lilac 6510 exists.

You added the Dark Bluish Gray image of the old one to the catalog, but it looks
like the new Hippo Baby. Did you copy this image from Brickset and is there a
chance the old variant doesn't exist in Dark Bluish Gray and it should have
been the new version from the start?

image is correct, for I can't find any Hippo Baby on the internet with those

I do not have this hippo baby. When I added that image, I was probably a newbie
around here. I am sure I didn't even know about variants or anything like
that. The image would have been directly from LEGO or Brickset. I can tell it
is a very old image of mine because it is at 80 x 60 pixel resolution. I have
not submitted images in that size for many, many, many years.
