different wires?
About the wires, I read something about your 'project' and about appr.
90 cm?
The longest 1-prong wires I ever found were 96 studs long.
96 / 48 x 38.4 = 76.8 cm
But let's use this thread only for set 113-2 please.
Is there a thread about this wire project?
One or two?
I believe the main difference is that the Canadian version has X extra number
of pieces and the American version has Y extra number of pieces. So we can have
one American and one Canadian versions?
Note that the piece count of most sets in Canada and USA were different, and
both different than European versions. So make sure you know what we are getting
into!
For bricks without inner tubes: I don't know about the sets releases in Europe
and if they didn't have inner tube in 1966-7?

We could do this for every single set in the catalog. We are not going to.

Do you mean not 2 extra entries, or none?
I meant just 1, not 2.
For USA/CA differences alternates can be used (both are Samsonite).
I think you should allow a second entry for Samsonite, for this has been done
in the past and it would make years of release much more clearly, when all these
old parts that were discontinued, were still used by Samsonite about 7 years
later.
We (finally) are very precise when it comes to timelines of variant parts. I'm
very happy with that.
Adding Samsonite entries will contribute to this timeline also. Besides that,
if you add samsonite parts as alternate parts in a (non-Samsonite) inventory
(which already has lots of alternate parts), it will become a mess that nobody
will understand.
maybe it still appeared in sets from 1964-1965, but after that (so far as I know)
it was only used by Samsonite. All sets after that either have a Samsonite Version,
or the inventory is wrong.
I think a new entry would be very usefull and important.
The instruction shown with this set is Samsonite only. Printed in USA.
This original version came with instruction on the box. Never saw a European
version of a printed instruction.

Addition: it has a 112 instruction for the loco, instruction of wagons are printed
on the box (bottom I believe).
I also wonder if the 'redesigned set' that has been created, isn't
just the Samsonite Version, redesigned by Samsonite.

Ok but it requires less work to change the current listing to the Samsonite one
and then add another one for European one.
Current listing works better for the Samsonite one, with extra note, alternate
parts,... so less inventory change requets are needed than if we change this
to the European listings.
Side note: I believe the Europe version has the same part count as the Canadian
one.

No way. Please add a new entry for 113 Samsonite, submit inventory and alternates
(USA/CA) and leave 113-2 'Europe' as it is for now.

For USA/CA differences alternates can be used (both are Samsonite).
What I meant is that there is an International version and North American version
for almost every single set released. Not to mention that the older sets had
releases in lots of different markets. The boxes are/were different, the instructions
are/were different, etc., and the prevailing guideline from the days of Dan himself
are that there would not be entries for all of them. So we aren't going to
create entries for regional differences for things like this. In the case of
the USA/CAN Samsonite sets, I believe a single entry is fine and alternates and
additional notes can be used.
