It would be really nice if you could just type "lbg" or "dbg" instead of "light
bluish gray" or "dark bluish gray". Saves a lot of typing time ...
Aren't there any shortcuts for colors??
But in what instance would you need to type the name of the color instead of
selecting it from a drop down list or menu?
Please explain your question
You can use colors written as well - type 'Dark Bluish Gray track' in
the search at the top of the page for an example
Yeah I know and it's very useful.
More to OP: Typing abbreviations would cause a lot of search problems. For instance
if you could type blo for bright light orange it would bring up thousands of
minifig heads with blocked open stud...

Except that a search for “blo” never gives you “blocked.” You’d need to search
for “blo*” for that to happen.
Also, “lbg” or “dbg” are hard to find in English words.

Another reason this would be particularly helpful for light bluish gray and dark
bluish gray is that there isn't a standard spelling of "gray" in English
(I know "grey" is more or less standard in the UK and Commonwealth countries
but it's also acceptable, if less common than "gray," in American English)
Could the color name Light Bluish Gray be modified to Light Bluish
Gray LBG?
The letter combinations lbg and dbg don't happen organically
in English - not sure about other languages.
If you search lbg or dbg you get 15 and 12 result, respectively.

That would be really useful, if only to remove my mental doubt about whether
'grey' is spelt the English or American way every single time I type
it in.
