| I bought a pair of 53989 in Pearl Dark Gray to complete a set, but I've received
two parts with very different colors.
See first picture, I received the two parts on the right, and I already had the
two on the left which also have a different tint. Is it expected for Pearl Dark
Gray or have I been inadvertently sold a different color (Pearl Light Gray, Flat
Silver?)
Thank you for your input.

| For me - this is a "normal" changing of a colour in details - sometimes a bit
- sometimes a bit to much...

These are 2 colors that are very noticeable when together:

Three are the "older" Pearl Dark Gray (LEGO color 148 Dark Grey Metallic), and
the other one is the "newer" Pearl Dark Gray (LEGO color 316 Titanium Metallic).

Of course Randy's encyclopedia braid knew this. I've never paid close
attention to pearl dark grays. Always assumed any of the "pearls" could vary
more widely due to the noticeable swirls you see. Didn't realize it was a
different LEGO color, but same BL color.
Interesting.

The color switched in 2010 along with the newer Flat Silver with the introduction
of Hero Factory.

| Thank you everybody for the helpful answers and links, at least I don't have
to ask a refund for these parts!
