The set photos never show a hole in this piece, and it would be pretty weird if LEGO actually made the throne seat with a hole in it.

Do you have any evidence that this set had the variant without hole as an alternate
part?

Thanks for the photos, I stand corrected. The set pictures I saw tricked me into
believing there really is no hole. I shall cancel this change request.
