Comments from Submitter:
3704 - I got 6 and you need all six to build the secondary model (p31, p38, p39, p41, p42).
2825 - I got 5 and you need all 5 to build the secondary model (p38, p39, p43)
3701 - I got 3 and you need all 3 to build the secondary model (p27, p30)
The extras had never been documented and I don't have pics that can show extras on lots that are already so large, but I do have a pic for the little gears.
I got 6538b and I have a pic. I'm taking the conservative approach of an alternate. The instructions show a and a doesn't stand out in the timeline, so it seems reasonable that the model had a sometimes.
I will have one more change when the string is approved.

Yes. So now we know that the b variant was introduced in 1995. Even if there
was some old stock of 6538a left that was used in the following years I would
say it is very unlikely that sets past 1997 or 1998 still had 6538a.
