Sorry, i might have already posted this in some other thread, but why is there
a limit on the number of messages i can sell?

Sending out a message is the one way to try and arrive at an approximate total
cost of the item to be shipped.

i think its quite weird.

I might have sent out around 7 or 8 emails regarding 7 or 8 sets.

In my country, Lego Technics are prohibitively expensive. i find some great deals
here but i obviously cant afford to pick them up all at once. a rupee for me
is the equivalent of a dollar for you. now try and imagine picking up a toy for
9000 dollars!!!

Also, the price displayed on the site does not take into account shipping costs.

so, my query emails are all related to the total cost of the model, including
shipping costs to india. NOT TO SPAM

This is a tool to prevent spammers from sending out hundreds or thousands of

While that may be true for you in particular, the rule affects new users in general
because of the past abuse.

You will have to adapt because of the actions of others.

A lot of sellers will have shipping charts so you can eye-ball what shipping
would be.
Others will point to the shipper they will use and you can use that sites shipping
calculator to determine it.
Lastly, if you are looking by country, all sellers in that country will charge
about the same amount for the same set.
If you ask one US seller the cost to ship a set and they say $45, pretty well
all US sellers will charge $45 to send that set to you.

Additionally, you could probably ask a FEW inquiries in the forum if you provide
the set number and the country that you are likely to buy from and a seller from
that country could be kind enough to give you approximately what they think it
would cost.

Ie, I know that it will cost about $120 to send

Set No: 41999 Name: 4 x 4 Crawler Exclusive Edition
*
41999-1 (Inv) 4 x 4 Crawler Exclusive Edition
1584 Parts, 2013
Sets: Technic: Model: Off-Road
to India from Canada
and about $75 from the US

For canada, sending something to Mexico and sending something to Australia has
the same cost.
There's canada, US and everywhere else as far as canada post is concerned.

In Europe, they have domestic, EU, Asia, and one or two more zones.

The info on most peoples store terms should be enough to determine shipping costs

Well, complete costs maybe not, because we won't know what seller you're
buying from and the cost of that set.

But if 3 people from Germany have the same set, their cost to send it to you
should be the same.
Also, keep in mind that time is also money.
If you are spending days looking for the absolute minimum just to save $5 on
$300, there's also a time factor.
For you in India, everyone is going to be international likely.
Start with the best combination of condition and cost and move up from there.

If you are looking to buy a few sets, keep in mind that you can save money buying
more expensive sets from one person that buying 3 from 3 people due to shipping.

Accept that there could be a significant Δ in there. I helped a neighbor ship
something like 36# worth of speakers across the country. We could have done
it at $55 but he got frustrated and just spent $75 on the Paypal label for Priority.

Plus, there are some German sellers that are known to add €10 to orders, just
because.

That's the difference thought between domestic and international though Brian.

I would think, the cost to send 2kg set to India is the same from Boston as it
is from Houston and San Francisco.
That's the way it works for Canada anyway.

For Germany, you are right, some sellers may add fees, including customs forms,
paypal fees, lot fees, but the actual cost to ship should be the same.

I'm not suggesting that we do all the work, simply "I'm looking to get

India and you should be able to tell him how much you would charge a buyer and
that be about the same for all of the US.

Sure, first class or Priority? For 1lb, Priority = $37, first class =
$15. For 4lb, it's $46 vs. $36. Above 4lb it's all priority. Below
that, it depends on how many services you need to add and what sort of risk you
are willing to take. Signature confirmation adds $13 to first class, but is
not available on priority. Other caveats as well.

I just want to apologise to all, it seems that in my excitement to disccover
a site with such awesome deals, i did not pay close attention to the fine print.

i have learnt my lesson, and my manners and hope to be a better and more
responsible buyer

i plan to make a few purchases over the next few months and i would like to thank

Well, it is relevant because minors are not allowed to register or participate
on the site. However, there is absolutely no need to answer me - if admin has
a concern, they will close down your account until proof of age is shown.

Ok, i have absolutely NO idea what my age has anything to do with my question.

Sorry, i might have already posted this in some other thread, but why is there
a limit on the number of messages i can sell?

Sending out a message is the one way to try and arrive at an approximate total
cost of the item to be shipped.

i think its quite weird.
