Minifigs in this set should come with bow and nurse hat. Also removing those items from the set inventory because they are part of the minifigs.

How is it possible that a minifig is changed after three weeks. I already parted
out this set and sold parts of the new minifig. The inventory was already approved
June 7th.
I really don't understand why. Please explain. Thank you.

As you already mentioned in another post:
It's based on the building instruction of the Minifig itself I assume.
- including all headgears and backpacks
- excluding accessoires they have in their hand (like weapons, bags, etc.)

I have included screenshots from the instructions of set 41038 and also set 3188
because you mentioned frnd015. As you can see, frnd015 doesn't have a bow
on the page of the instructions where the minifig is assembled. frnd075 and frnd076
have their nurse hat and bow on the pages where they are assembled. That's
why the original catalog submissions were wrong and the new frnd075a and frnd076a
minifigs were added to the catalog.

Thanks Paul. I already checked the instruction of 41038. I didn't have the
instruction of 3188 though (before the time I started with the New LEGO). Learned
much about this change request. Hope the inventory submitter also follow this
thread

I have a feeling that some people think that any inventory is better than no
inventory, combined with a rush to get the inventories as soon as possible, copying
the inventory from other websites instead of manually confirming every part and
a huge workload for our inventory admins who do not have every set physically
in hand to verify the contents.

Ok, that's understandable. We are all human.
Like I have to recheck the Inventory of 75055

But what exactly is the 'rule' about minifigs.

It's based on the building instruction of the Minifig itself I assume.

How about for instance tnt039 that is pending for approval?
http://www.bricklink.com/catalogList.asp?imgPend=Y&imgType=L&v=1&saveView=N&catType=M

If that Fig is approved I don't understand anymore which parts should be
included in the Minifig.

The rule used to be that the mini figure had to match the picture in the instructions.
Since Sophie from the Vet set did not have a nurse's hat on in the picture
it was never part of that figure. If a bow is on their head in the picture then
a bow must be on the figure. Some girls had bows and some did not.

I don't have any of the new sets but if there is no nurse's hat in the
instructions on her head then that should not be part of the figure when listed.

Thanks Connie,

Matching the picture in the instruction, but without the accesoirres they have
in hand I assume?

Inside the building instruction, the instruction to build the figure shows the
nurse's hat and the bow on the other figure. On the front page of the instruction,
the one with the nurse's hat inside the building instruction doesn't
weat anything and the other figure wears the nurse's hat instead of the bow

And what about the animals. The building instruction (inside as well as front
page) shows the Panda with the Ice Pack, LOL

Hand held items were never part of the mini figure. I don't know why they
are showing up now. Since the hat and bow appear on different figures then I
would call that an accessory and not put it on the figure. Why an ice pack is
on a panda. Wow, that is a new one. LOL I would just sell the panda alone.

Yes I agree with you, I also getting lost about it. Another example is:

Minifig No: gs014 Name: Mantizoid
*
gs014 (Inv) Mantizoid
Minifigures: Space: Galaxy Squad
In help it is exactly stated that no hand-held acessories.
Why this minifig is in the Catalog with parts in hands?

Also I have problem with [M=sw574a] and [M=sw574]. Correct minifig according
to help page is with helmet not with hairs. That is shown in instruction. Help
page states that minifig assembly should be as shown in instruction. As I remember
the same problem I had with minifig [M=sw460], it is exactly the same case. When
I was adding it then admins told me I should added version from instruction,
with hair and on the box was shown with helmet. And now in catalog are both version
of Ezra minifig. I think first one should be deleted (this with hairs).

Cheers

Big problem for sellers like me, if this one would be changed. Already sold all
the Helmets Leaving me with incomplete minifigs to sell if this one would
be deleted.
Just an example. I am not going to check them all, but it looks the rules are
not used right and I do like to part out sets as soon as I have them in hand
and the inventory is approved.

gs014 (Inv) Mantizoid
Minifigures: Space: Galaxy Squad
In help it is exactly stated that no hand-held acessories.
Why this minifig is in the Catalog with parts in hands?

Also I have problem with [M=sw574a] and [M=sw574]. Correct minifig according
to help page is with helmet not with hairs. That is shown in instruction.

And I must now besides buying the set also buy second minifig the have all Star
Wars minfig because now my collection is incomplete

BTW I'm taxonomist I like systematic order

How is it possible that a minifig is changed after three weeks.

I have a feeling that some people think that any inventory is better than no
inventory, combined with a rush to get the inventories as soon as possible, copying
the inventory from other websites instead of manually confirming every part and
a huge workload for our inventory admins who do not have every set physically
in hand to verify the contents.

This is why it is ridiculous that people are allowed to add and inventory sets
when they do not have them. There should be a rule that you must have the set
in hand to inventory it.

Also, any mistakes and you get a black mark against your name. Too many black
marks and you have to do a tutorial on how to inventory sets properly before
you are allowed to do any more.

I have respect for those people that carefully inventory sets for the good of
the BL company / seller and buyer community. But for those that just want their
name on the page that don't care too much about accuracy, that respect goes
down.

Inaccurate inventories are just as bad as no inventories.

Adding an Inventory of a new set, without having it in hand would take days imo.
For me that is. Without the help of the color codes that are mentioned in the
instruction I wouldn't even start And without the Set in hand you will
never be able to see if (for instance) a jumper has grooves or not. If the color
code doesn't exist in the catalogue yet, you should take a good look if the
part already exists. So an Orang Utan can not be listed as a Chimpansee With
the Figs it is another story, the color codes are given for eacht par of the
Fig separately.

But in the meantime I know exactly how a Minifig should be added. And so I also
know there are indeed some that are not correct.

Besides that, mistakes do happen. We are only human. I for instance have to recheck
75055. Hope I can finish that today by unpacking a new box

This.

I have not parted out any new sets recently, but just from what is going on here
on the forum I can see that it's one big mess, and getting worse month by
month.

People submitting inventories with parts or their variants that have not even
been in production for half a decade. This screws up the market greatly, because
unsuspecting buyers then end up buying worthless parts, sold as old and highly-sought
after variants. Some sellers/buyers dont care, some care really a lot.

Also submitting inventories with all parts as regular parts, even though some
are extras. From what I see this is happening even when submitters have sets
in their hands. Just submitting all the parts that came out of the box as regular
parts, with a total disregard to actual instructions of the model. All sorts
of issues arise from this, including all the extra work load on other submitters
and inv. admins that is then required to fix the mess.

Ugh!! I am so pissed I want to do something horrible

No! Don't do it. Do not but Megabloks!

I understand your feeling completely.
Did this problem start when the TOC and terms for catalog use were changed? Did
we loose that many excellent inventory submitters?

You mean - do not butt?

This problem has not started after the change in TOS. Bad inventories
have been slipping into the catalog before too, but certainly not at the rate
it is happening now. It sure intensified ten fold after the change..

On one hand, we can also blame inventory admins for not catching all the mistakes.
On the other hand, we are already blaming them for various things taking too
long to be approved..

I do not envy you, inventory / catalog admins. Whatever you do.. seems you just
can never make us happy
