6990 Futuron Monorail Transport System This set is Brand New and Sealed. Single owner set, it was bought new off the shelf and placed into storage for 30 years. This set is a later release of this set. The first production run of this set had only plastic seals and due to the weight of the parts inside the box, LEGO had issues with the boxes coming open. LEGO later added Fiber reinforment tape to the boxes in addition to the tape seals to keep the boxes closed better. The tape seals are broken and the fiber tape is still intact. The tape seals are installed OVER the fiber tape so its confirmed to be installed by LEGO. I have 10-15 of these sets and ALL have the same tape. Message me if you would like more photos
