Hi all

While sorting, I’m sure we all come across bricks That have had a hard life or
have had a challenging journey. This time I’m erring towards this brick actually
coming from the factory as a dual colour brick rather than it being bleached
or something

What do you think ?

Cheers

These marbled bricks sometimes appear in the wild
Like these:

Usually caused by either mixing two or more different colors on accident or changing
colors in the molding machines.

Collectors might be interrested. Especially since its a 3001.

The line between the colours looks very straight compared to most marbled bricks
I have seen. It might be genuinely produced that way, or it could have been that
the surface of this brick was partially immersed in something that has bleached
the colour. There seems to be a chip on the lighter side on the bottom that is
the darker of the two colours under the surface.

I onetime found a 1x6 plate in set that was half light bluish gray and half dark
bluish gray. The colors were split straight down the middle of the plate so I
think there is a good chance that this is a type of marbled brick.

kind of looks like it sat sideways in a bucket or something that had 1/4"
of like bleach or cleaning fluid in it.. thus the basically straight line discoloration.
refernce Slag Glass as an example, if it is true Marbeling of colors, there would
be noticable swirling

It sat submerged in something. The part that is discolored is beginning to degrade,
and the back of the brick is disgusting and has remnants of whatever it was in
the tubes. That brick is fit for nothing but the trash.
