| Hello all,
An order was placed with me and I made an error with one of the pieces. I have
emailed the buyer and sent messages to this person through Bricklink. This person
will not respond. What should I do at this point? The order cannot be sent
100% complete and the buyer will not respond and let me know what to do? It
was an honest mistake and I really don't want to get a negative feedback
rating. I've sent 4 messages so far so I am trying to fix the issue. What
does a seller do at this point, when the seller is trying to fix the issue but
is not getting any response from the buyer? Should I just refund the entire
order?
Thanks,
CLM

If it's a "minor part" simply refund the part *first*, at least.
If it seems to be the main one of the order (say $5 on a $7 order), then yes,
full refund could be wise.
Clearly describe what's you're refunding on the refund page.
But don't harrass the buyer, try 1 message AND 1 e-mail (some don't read
either one or the other). Nothing more.

How long has it been? It isn't really the number of messages you have sent,
but how long ago they were sent.

| If you do not have the part, you should submit an "Item Removal" request.
This will go to the buyer. If the buyer does not respond immediately then you
should send the order as is, and give a refund.
New buyers in particular often do not check messages. However, they will complain
that it took a long time to ship. So, don't delay shipping too much by waiting
for their response.
