So yesterday I had a buyer agree to purchase a set and I send the invoice right
away. Today he responds with:

"Hello, Thank you for the speedy reply. Are you able to price match ETOYS
MACAO? They are charging $23.91 USD plus tax."

Is this a thing? buyers asking for a 50% discount and want me to price match
some other store in a different country? and this is AFTER they clicked on "agree
to purchase" from my store. I also assume shipping from macao would costs
more than the set alone thats why they decided to buy from my store to begin
with since my shipping will be less than $10.

Does this just become a NPB situation then? How would other sellers handle this?

I would just politely respond saying "No, unfortunately we do not offer price
matching" and if they decide they want to cancel instead, I would just go
ahead and oblige the cancel request.

Canceling opens up the possibility of negative feedback.

Consider opening a NPB complaint instead.

+1 as they seem to be a less trustworthy buyer then a normal cancel case so in
this case if they do not pay id strongly recommend NPB over a cancel

ok you guys make a good point. NPB so I don't get the neg feedback. I'll
wait the week out I guess. Just kind of annoying having to wait so long and
then another week.

You could still get a negative if the buyer clears the NPB by paying for the
item - only a completed NPB prevents negative feedback

If a buyer leaves negative feedback after buying, paying and receiving an order
because the price was too high, then a seller is perfectly justified leaving
a negative for the buyer saying that they tried to lowball after ordering.

Also just noticed their store is suspended due to non-payment of fees. bad vibes
all around.

Agree on NPB… but give them a polite response that you don’t match prices and
ask for payment. Let them direct how things progress from there… though likely
doesn’t look optimistic based on being suspended.

Which causes a 2-week delay in closing things out. Another reason for using IC,
in that is prevents this kind of behavior.
