When you are designing a model in Studio, can you position an element at a 45
degree angle relative to the field? Using the arrow keys only seems to allow
to rotate elements in ways that orients them either vertically or horizontally.

I am designing a fighter craft that uses solar panels attached at the end of
it's wings. I want to display the panels at a 45 degree angle relative to
the horizontal axis.

Yes, although a 37° angle might be easier to build in real life.
