Catalog forum topic???

Anyway, the absolute best is Zebra.
Expensive though.

Note: you'll save on ink AND power, especially compared to a laser printer
(which saves on ink but eats a lot when powered up).

Here UPS gave them out for free to customers so you will find tons of decent
ones used on eBay for around $50-75 in the US. Found my LP 2844-Z about 5 years
ago (I think) been going strong ever since.

I have a Rollo and works great. It is small and can use fanfold or roll labels
if you have something the roll can mount on. I know there are generic versions

+1 for Rollo! I have been using the wired version for 6 months now and it works
great.

I have a Polono PL60 that I like, never any issues and I think when I got it
I found it on sale for around $100. Paired it with a Rollo label holder that
accepts rolls or folded labels so Ijust always buy whatever is the cheapest and
it fits regardless. Even if you pay full price for the Polono, still gets you
a full setup for $160 which I think is great for never having to wait in line
at the post office!

Zebra...
I have 2 different 4x6 label printers (both bought cheap on Ebay);

LP2844 from 2001 originally used by UPS - has printed over 70,000 labels, with
no issues.

ZD420 wireless and Bluetooth, for the same price as the Rollo, but industrial
build quality.

I use cheap Amazon labels with no issue.

Do not buy a 4xl - if you print more than 10 labels a week, it might last a year.

I forgot to add that the Zebra's have cool options. One has a label cutter,
so the labels stack up in a box. The other has a peeler that takes the backing
paper off automagically, used for 1 label at a time.
