| I don't mind them sending out a monthly invoice, but I agree that the wording
could be better.
If it's a 'Reminder' and 'due soon' then it should be within
a week.
Otherwise, it's just an invoice and is due at the expected interval.

| Yes, they seem to suddenly have difficulty in grasping the concept of a due date.
Based on their invoices, and their very Terms Sellers are not obliged to pay
their fees until that date. That's how it works in every other business.

+1 - I was really confused and worried I missed a previous bill, and couldn't
figure out how that was possible. A reminder =/= a bill notice. The previous
communication was effective. If there are issues with some stores not paying
their bills, they can send follow-up reminders directly to affected stores.

| Hi Russell
Just to mention that I received this email as well today although I hadn't
actually received an invoice for June so it seems odd that you were sending me
a reminder?
Are you still going to issue full invoices or is this a replacement for them?
I'd prefer to an invoice if that's possible for my tax records.
Thanks, Robin

We recently changed the "invoice" email we sent out to be a "payment
reminder" instead because the email was never really a complete invoice.
The real invoice is available from your My Fees page.
As a technical point, fees are due on the 5th of the month, immediately on receipt
of the reminder (or the notice on your My Fees page). On the 5th of the following
month, they become overdue, and the account is suspended by the system 10 days
later if payment has not been made.
Now that you know the message the email is intended to convey, we would be open
to language you feel would convey it better. Please respond in this thread.

I like Etsy's language:
"Your Etsy statement for June 2023 is ready" -- Subject title
There's no invoice attached. Here's an excerpt of the contents:
Etsy
Thanks for selling on Etsy! Your June statement for your shop is
ready. Get the details and pay any outstanding balance from your payment account.
Make a payment now
your Payment account page, which is like our Fees page

| Oops, the symbols I used caused some text to disappear. In the main part after
shop, it'll include your store name (doesn't need to of course, but it's
more personalized).
And then the button saying "Make Payment Now" takes you to their Payment
account page, which is like our Fees page.

“The real invoice is available from your My Fees page”
Nobody looks at this unless they get an email directing them to it. I believe
a better, more personable system would entail:
1. Send an email as an invoice for monthly fees due, 2-3 weeks ahead of due date
2. If this is not paid within 5 days of due date, send a reminder email.
3. If fee is not paid by due date, then escalate the tone in the email.
This is how every other company operates. Why BL chooses to not be aligned it
to ask us for feedback ahead of making changes is what needs to be addressed.

On my side I don't receive any mailing from BrickLink for years since this
problem with something monkey you're using to send them?
I'd be happy this to be solved, if possible.

I also thought I had missed a payment so paid it instantly yesterday. Then checked
my records and realised I did pay last month. I guess that is why they changed
the wording.

Yes, the wording is very different to what it used to be.
My old ones always looked like:
------------------------
Your BrickLink Invoice
Dear yorbrick,
You can view a summary of your invoice below for March 2023 for BrickLink services.
Table with fees
Green button to pay the fees.
-------------------------
The colours used are suggestive. On the new one, the first thing I see is the
red alarm bell, rather than a green pay button on the old one.

Yes, it used to be like that, but Russell explained it can't be anymore.
I thought you meant they changed the wording this month in relation to previous
month.
Maybe next month the wording will a bit more friendly as per our suggestions
