| | I have almost 40,000 parts in my bricklink store which is an accomplishment for me. Come buy some parts I want to make this a full time job eventually haven’t had a sale for a week or so. And my store for selling anything has been slow so come support my 40,000 parts store Now. |

Tip: combine your lots so people wanting to find a certain quantity will be able
to see that your store has it in that quantity.

Tip: combine your lots so people wanting to find a certain quantity will be able
to see that your store has it in that quantity.

koolkris200, this is some excellent advice. Multiple lots of the exact same
part drives buyers nuts.

OOH do tell.
I might place an order:
-- 1 Technic Pin from each of the 65 lots and
-- 1 1x2 Plate from each of the 218 lots.
It's not much work for me, but could be a nightmare for them

I might place an order:

Not really. They can pick 65 technic pins from their largest lot(s) then quickly
adjust quantities of the others without touching the physical stock. There is
no difference if you get one from each lot or 65 from one lot. It would only
be a nightmare if you bought out every duplicate lot although that is what the
store owner wants, since they sell all the parts.

Have you tried lowering your prices? They seem a bit high to me for a store as
small as yours (yes, 40K bricks is small)

small as yours (yes, 40K bricks is small)

I agree. A small store that wants to be full time is going to need to turn over
the small inventory quickly and that means low prices. I don't really see
why anyone would overpay to support a store just because they want to give up
their regular job when there are plenty of other stores also needing support
offering better deals.
The alternative is to have a similar volume of sales but slower turnover on a
much larger inventory, where you can have higher prices.
