I was able to add inventory using BrickStore. May be a workaround for those who
use that software until the site is functioning again

Thanks, that does help indeed!

But alas, it doesn't help for completing NPB's and NSS's so other
members are still not timely signalled about these warnings.....

yes it appears it is: Happy New Year!!!

but, why thank us, what did we do to fix it??

more interesting: why was it broke, what's being done to prevent it from
happening again?

It would be nice if there is a 1/30 discount on the December fees for the broken
processes of the site on Dec 31 for almost the entire day.

I think you'll find that he's thanking those who brought the issue to
their attention!

If there's gonna be any kind of maintenance or downtime better to have it
take place when the majority of people are pre-occupied with seeing in the New
Year!

Ah, I get your point .

However, I think it's better to take the site completely down (as usually
is during maintenance windows) and not reopen it until issues like these are
fixed. This was a massive blocking of adding parts to the database. Extracting
went fine though.
And when I need to pay for a service, I think it's fair I don't have
to pay for it completely if it is not completely available for a larger period
of time like on Dec 31st.
I think that's a fair point of view. TLC will argue otherwise I'm sure
.

isn't your statement a bit contradictory?

You want them to take the site completely down and not reopen the site again
until all issues are fixed but at the same time you don't want any considerable
downtime??

Either way I'm pretty sure they wouldn't intentionally re-open the site
knowing significant issues would occur besides which... whether your electricity
goes down in your home or your broadband provider fails to connect you, most
services are entitled to a reasonable amount of downtime to upgrade, repair or
fix any unforeseen issues and so to not allow for this would just be deemed unreasonable

Once your service has been down for several consecutive days in a row then you
may have good reason to complain!
