| Hello everyone.
I have a question.
This is from a seller's perspective.
When listing an item, sellers can include their own unique images.
At this point, there is something I would like to know from you guys.
Can the seller's unique image include the creator in light text to prevent
others from stealing the image?
Or is this against the rules?
Please let me know.
Thank you in advance.
Regards,
Yusuke

If your concerned about people stealing images it would probably be best to just
use a water mark

Isn't "creator in light text" more or less the definition of a watermark?
(In the digital age, leaving out medieval paper producing techniques...) That
aside, I haven't seen anywhere that it would be against the rules, but is
it worth the effort? If someone wants to reuse the picture (why? Unless it's
a super-rare 5-digit-price item), do you have the legal oomph to sue for royalties
across continents?

I’m not gunna lie I read it as a photo of himself next to the product next to
a light and was super confused
It’s more so to protect other people as if people reuse photos that aren’t professionally
done like stock photos they can be used to make a counterfeit listing elsewhere
to try and scam unsuspecting buyers as a photo that looks like it was taken in
someone’s bedroom that’s listed for a good price would be more believable then
a stock photo for a set listed at a good price but if the photo has a watermark
then the person would probably put 2 and 2 toghether and realize the person dosnt
actually have the product

I thought it's easy to find pics of any and all Lego sets in the net anyway,
but I see your point that it's more believable than stock photos, I hadn't
considered that.
