Why is it always that, in rare occasions, the most expensive part is damaged
in shippings and not the cheapest?
There must be a logical reason that I cannot think about.

Sometimes what makes a part expensive is that it is fragile and many have been
damaged over time, maybe?

Buyers have more tolerance for defects in cheaper parts, generally. I might not
bother complaining if a 5 cent part showed up damaged, but I absolutely would
if a $20 part wasn't as described.

I think Tonnic’s (unconscious?) idea is that the parts-breaking Gremlins check
prices on BrickLink when they choose which part to damage

Hmmmmm it seems all the are valuable parts are usually the brittle dark red or
reddish brown so they have a higher chance

It is because they know, and they do it.
