That sounds very weird - if "China" refers to the country of production, then
it's not Lego. "Pat. pend." is what the writing on Lego pieces used to say
in the 70s, they long stopped using that. So it would never appear on any piece
together with "(c) 2015". And 51493 would refer to this reindeer:

So that doesn't make sense either. If it was a riddle it would be intriguing

Interesting, I didn't know that! So far I always threw out anything I found
that had "China" stamped on it, was that wrong? - I don't expect Lego to
print "China" on parts produced there though.
