| I am getting tired of sellers creating a label and changing status to shipped
before the item is in the shippers' hands. Sometimes it takes 2-3 days before
they turn it over to shipper

Wrong title (Nope, no one can edit….)
More on subject:
1. status often takes time to be updated,
2. everybody does that, including S@H.

Yes, I can understand how this could be frustrating when you are wanting to know
exactly when an order will arrive at your door. A couple of things to consider:
We don't have a lot of options within our workflow when it relates to Order
Status. We have Packed and Shipped. It would be really nice if we had: Pulled,
Packed, Label Created, Shipped. Some sellers may be marking order Shipped so
they know they printed the label and don't duplicate their work.
Not all packages are scanned in when they are dropped off at post offices, mailboxes,
or picked up by the carrier. It could be that your orders were dropped off and
just don't get scanned until they hit a regional sorting center.
If this is a major concern for you, I would suggest dropping your seller a polite
note letting them know to please send you a Thank you! Drive Thru message once
your package is really on its way.
Good luck,
Jen

I've had quite a few instances where the tracking doesn't update AT
ALL over 5-7days until the package is at the buyers postal facility, so it
is possible it's not always the sellers doing.
This is also frustrating as a seller, because it looks like the order was never
shipped after over a week has passed, which is bad look for my shop.
That being said, if the 2-3 day delay does matter to you, I agree with Jen in
saying leave the seller a note to send a drive through notification in the order
comments.

Have to concur with Caroline here about the occasional lack of scanning by USPS.
We've seen that happen every now and then, particularly more during the
worst of COVID, where a package gets dropped off at the PO and somehow goes several
days or a couple weeks and appears that it never made it past the initial label
creation. It is frustrating for both buyers and sellers, but not much the seller
can do about it.
As for our process, we mark orders packed after they are packed (after they are
paid). We only mark them shipped once we have actually dropped them off at the
PO. For those occasions where we create a label the night before or on a Sunday
or holiday, we send a note with the tracking # that their order will ship the
next day (Monday. Tuesday, etc...) and leave it in packed status until it is
physically shipped.

| We stand there and watch USPS scan our orders then we come home and send the
message that it shipped.

This is an entitlement issue we ALL have now with this nearly Instant Global
shipping market. We are Spoiled. My intention is not to be rude about it cause
god knows I've been known to look at a shipping update and say BS you got
it moved on a SUN when PO is closed. Just imagine yourself trying to do what
we do today back in the 80's.
What I can say is and I do this myself. When you find yourself hellbent over
shipping like this because you JUST HAVE TO KNOW, Go buy it local. When you realize
you can't, than maybe that bitter taste subsides.
Just be thankful you actually get your package with the crap going on in the
world.

| Please remember that at some US Post offices, you can scan an item in even after
the PO is closed. You scan at the kiosk and drop it in the bin. This means
that I have shipped it. I don't have never waited until the PO starts tracking
and if I did sometimes the PO never scans until delivery.

Sometimes it takes USPS a few days to update the tracking information

I don't mind waiting for a package at all. What I do find quite annoying
is when I receive the package and the shipping label has a date 10 days after
the package was marked shipped.

Agreed, this happens on every platform I buy on, but the very least amount of
offenders are here. Lots of eBay sellers get their item marked shipped when
they buy a label and often times can't be bothered to get the packages to
a blue box (seems to be on every corner) or post office for sometimes days.
Had some really good sellers too!
As a seller it is simple to figure out times to get your orders to the post office
so they can actually ship out. I mean a minimal amount of effort is required
to figure out your local postal patterns, heck you can even ask your postal carrier.
For example, if I get my orders to the post office before 8PM on Saturday, they
go into the system right away. Occasionally they don't get scanned right
away but will eventually be scanned along the path, while making progress to
the destination. So you'll see people say "well sometimes things don't
get scanned" but they always do at some point, and if they are in the postal
system they are making progress along the way. Sure I have seen so items go
from nothing to delivery scan, but that is rare and again was making progress
the whole time, meaning it still only took 3 days from NY to NH.
Like anywhere you'll find people who don't really care too much and others
who feel it necessary to be as quick as possible as they have your money and
you should get your order asap. I have always felt really guilty not shipping
something out the next day if I already have someone's money, not sure why
I just do. I know most sellers on here are like this as I have had some really
great sellers, just don't get me started on Tcgplayer.
