I am now just noticing people using a system for processing credit cards

How do you get this setup on your store, and what are the pros and cons of using
it??

First, you need to have a stripe account. Then you connect it and pick domestic
and/or international.

I use stripe in my store but only for domestic sales. Actually I suspended all
international sales when Covid struck due to the enormous delays in shipping.

As another poster mentioned, you have to open a Stripe account and then link
it to your BL account.

Pros - you can get sales from members who do not use PP . I average a few each
month - the majority use PP but here and there I get orders from stripe customers.
I like to offer the variety.

Cons - not much that I have found. I always check my Stripe account to make sure
the payment succeeded before I ship. It takes 3 days for Stripe to process and
send you the money so if you are in a rush to see the payment arrive in a bank
account, then maybe this isn't the system for you.

I've been using Stripe daily for over a year now, and it's been a really
good experience. Bricklink is going to add more payment methods in the (near?
far?) future and I am guessing those will be Stripe-based (Stripe is basically
a funnel that lets customers pay through various methods into your Stripe account),
probably all international sellers will want to set up a Stripe account at some
point.
