| What color is this 1x12 technic brick? We got a couple from Legoland, but it
doesn't look like it's a color that has been produced in the last 10
years. My best guess is either dark blue-violet or blue-violet, but I don't
have any parts in those colors to verify. It looks like a darker version of dark
azure with just a little bit of green in it.
Thanks,
Brock

It's blue that was likely molded a long time ago; and as a result of that
era's mixed materials/colors, or simply discoloration from Sunlight exposure,
etc., they have changed hue over time... I have many of various shades of blue
from various older sets... the ones I have typically look brand new (shiny, no
scratches), they're just weird shades of blue...

As with the OP, looks like (at least from the picture) to be brittle blue, AKA,
a normal blue piece that has yellowed with age. Brittle Blue pieces are usually
more brittle, hence the name.

All old and yellowed Blue don’t become Brittle Blue. Brittle Blue is limited
to a period (that I don’t know).
So this part is certainly old and yellowed Blue but not necessarily Brittle.

| Well Brittle blue might be the name to call it, but these parts are definitely
not in any way brittle or yellowed from age. If there was discoloring from
sunlight say then the undersides would likely show as original blue. These pieces
are perfect in all ways and look to me like they could have come from a more
recent set. Are you sure Lego didn't make any sets with this different shade
of (let's call it) turquoise blue perhaps?

Test them. It could break easily if mounted/unmounted repeatedly (like a child
would) or crack/fracture when left mounted for a few days (like a mounted set).
