Is there a way to see in the catalog what pieces that come in the most unique
colors. I have a color chart made from 3001 bricks and a few other random parts
right now, but I'd kind of like to make a smaller more compact version.
Was wondering if there was an easy way to get this info.

Thanks,
Pete

I haven't seen a catalog page where you can list parts by number of known
colors, but I'd go for the

Part No: 3004  Name: Brick 1 x 2
*
3004 Brick 1 x 2
Parts: Brick

Part No: 3065 Name: Brick 1 x 2 without Bottom Tube
*
3065 Brick 1 x 2 without Bottom Tube
Parts: Brick

It has plenty of colors, and you can always use

Part No: 3005  Name: Brick 1 x 1
*
3005 Brick 1 x 1
Parts: Brick

Part No: 3023  Name: Plate 1 x 2
*
3023 Plate 1 x 2
Parts: Plate

Part No: 3024  Name: Plate 1 x 1
*
3024 Plate 1 x 1
Parts: Plate
or even

Part No: 3700 Name: Technic, Brick 1 x 2 with Hole
*
3700 Technic, Brick 1 x 2 with Hole
Parts: Technic, Brick

Part No: 32000 Name: Technic, Brick 1 x 2 with Holes
*
32000 Technic, Brick 1 x 2 with Holes
Parts: Technic, Brick

Part No: 2458 Name: Brick, Modified 1 x 2 with Pin
*
2458 Brick, Modified 1 x 2 with Pin
Parts: Brick, Modified
for some rare colors.

Nice color chart. Somebody needs to get into the business of selling premade
charts/collections like this. I would have bought one when I was first cataloging.
Even this picture you posted is better than the fake computer colors in the Bricklink
color catalog page.

Thanks everyone! I think I'm gonna try to use a combo of 1x2 plates and
tiles, and fill in as much of the rest as possible with 1x1 plate, round and
1x1 plates and tiles.

Depends on if you want parts released in sets or not.
3001 is one of the parts produced in the most colors not in sets.
But the 2x2 tile is used by LEGO in house and that must be the part that comes
in the most colors.....
