| does anyone know whether Lego has a protective right to their colors? Unfortunately,
I did not find anything in my research

Only specific colors can be trade marked, many of the LEGO colors were made/mixed
by the plastic suppliers like BASF and Bayer in Germany.
These samples were send to LEGO and they approved them.
After that, LEGO tried to be consistent with their colors, but we all know how
that worked out...
If you are asking if you can use LEGO yellow for your own art, I don’t think
anyone would care.
But if you are asking to make LEGO parts in LEGO yellow, that is counterfitting.
Maybe ask again, but explain why you wish to know.
