Comments from Submitter:
The baseplate 6100pb01 appeared only on the instructions. It does not exist. I contacted the two sellers selling them, and one of them checked and confirmed he has 6100pb02. The other didn't reply yet.
No 6100pb01 has been sold for the last 6 months.
I checked about 50 copies of the set 6382 in various markets but the baseplate were always 6100pb02.

Just for passing some time I looked at my Set. Which I have owned since it was
released no box though . I remember I got that set and the Police Station for
Christmas. My Set has 6100px2. I also have about 5 additional Base-plates that
I got over the years from various resources and they all are 6100px2. While
this doesn't offer anything NEW to the post I can Agree that unless someone
else shows otherwise, I agree to Delete.

I have a sealed copy of this set, but I don't know when it was produced.
What exactly is the difference between the 2 baseplate versions? I may be able
to check mine tonight when I get home.

Hi Josh,

Compare the white lines:

http://www.peeron.com/scans/6382-1/3

ButI believe the one on the instructions does not exist. For the last 15 years,
nobody added any photo of it on BL, none is sold, none is find... it should be
just a prototype, but never produced for the market.

Lack of image certainly points to the fact that it was never included in the
final product. The only evidence I have found of its existance is in the instructions
and box art. So we can conclude that it must have been a prototype part and the
print was changed before the set went into production.

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, my copy of the set is still shrink-wrapped,
so I can't check the baseplate to make sure.
