I own set 6445-1 and I'm quite certain I never mixed it up. A Trans-Dark
Blue visor also matches the images in the building instructions. I'm happy
to supply a photograph of the minifigure I have.

For what it's worth, I have a sealed copy of 6479. I can see the trans-dark
blue visor in the bag, but I can't get a good photo of it. This was the best
I could come up with...

I just wonder if it is maybe deeper issue with those all Res-Q minifigs.
https://www.bricklink.com/catalogListOld.asp?catType=M&catString=67.329

This one is with trans dark blue

Minifig No: rsq014 Name: Res-Q 1 - Helmet, Life Jacket
*
rsq014 (Inv) Res-Q 1 - Helmet, Life Jacket
Minifigures: Town: Res-Q
other with visors have it in trans light blue

Minifig No: rsq004  Name: Res-Q 1 - Helmet
*
rsq004 Res-Q 1 - Helmet
Minifigures: Town: Res-Q
Marked for Deletion

Minifig No: rsq008  Name: Res-Q 3 - Helmet
*
rsq008 Res-Q 3 - Helmet
Minifigures: Town: Res-Q
Marked for Deletion

Minifig No: rsq009  Name: Res-Q 3 - Yellow Legs
*
rsq009 Res-Q 3 - Yellow Legs
Minifigures: Town: Res-Q
Marked for Deletion

For example this set

Set No: 6462 Name: Aerial Recovery
*
6462-1 (Inv) Aerial Recovery
188 Parts, 3 Minifigures, 1998
Sets: Town: Res-Q
https://www.lego.com/biassets/bi/4115746.pdf
has three minifigs also this one with change request:

Minifig No: ext014 Name: Extreme Team - Blue Diver
*
ext014 (Inv) Extreme Team - Blue Diver
Minifigures: Town: Extreme Team

Minifig No: rsq004  Name: Res-Q 1 - Helmet
*
rsq004 Res-Q 1 - Helmet
Minifigures: Town: Res-Q
Marked for Deletion

Minifig No: rsq008  Name: Res-Q 3 - Helmet
*
rsq008 Res-Q 3 - Helmet
Minifigures: Town: Res-Q
Marked for Deletion
In instruction there is no indication that colors of visor is diffrent in rsq004
and rsq008, they both should have the same. That is why I think maybe it isn't
quite right with all other 2 minifigs (rsq008 and rsq009) from this theme about
the color of visor not only rsq00). BTW color of visor should be the same as
Scuba Diver Mask from ext014.

And you have now proof that it should be trans dark blue, hmm... something isn't
quite right here.

There is definitly a mess here
Inventory of this set:

Set No: 6479 Name: Emergency Response Center
*
6479-1 (Inv) Emergency Response Center
406 Parts, 5 Minifigures, 1998
Sets: Town: Res-Q
has minifig with trans light blue visor in the same time in this set there is
a second visor in regular section of inventory which is trans dark blue and there
is an extra trans dark blue visor
and this inventory is confirmed from sealed set content
"...confirmed accuracy of this inventory on Feb 17, 2018. (source: Sealed Set
Contents)"

Another one with trans dark blue visor in the inventory from this theme:

Set No: 6451 Name: River Response
*
6451-1 (Inv) River Response
132 Parts, 3 Minifigures, 1998
Sets: Town: Res-Q
visor isn't used in any of minifigs and is trans dark blue in the regular
section of inventory.

btw I just make a look into all set from this theme
https://www.bricklink.com/catalogListOld.asp?catType=S&catString=67.329
they all have trans dark blue parts there besides visor in those particular three
minifigs (sic!), it is really looks strange. So LEGO put there trans dark blue
parts beside only visors wihich they decide to put in trans light blue

Web search are for now inconclusive. I only checked mentioned 6462-1 because
this one have two minifigs with visors (which should be the same color) and only
used copies where and there are examples with trans dark blue visors, with trans
light blue visors (could be messed because of our current inventories) and even
one where visor in one minifig is trans light blue and in other trans dark blue

Thinking about of it I get a feeling that all minifigs in this theme should have
trans dark blue visor. But that's for now only my assumptions.

I made a lot of web research, and not found any prove of dark/light visor in

90% of picture show minifigs with dark blue visor.

For this set, it's hard to know, I didn't find original pictures with
the minifig outside of the vehicle

I found the picture I was looking for, the backside of the box with the dark

PS: It's funny, they invert the legs with the woman on the alternate model.

Marek -

I had done a lot of research on this, also, and found the same exact things as
you.

I think we should have the minifigs with trans-light blue visors marked for deletion
and get them replaced with versions that have the correct trans-dark blue visors.
Now we just need someone who can provide the correct photos for the minifigs.

Does that sound good?

Thanks,
Randy

Totally agree on that

So If somebody is reading this thread and have those three minifigs

Minifig No: rsq004  Name: Res-Q 1 - Helmet
*
rsq004 Res-Q 1 - Helmet
Minifigures: Town: Res-Q

Minifig No: rsq009  Name: Res-Q 3 - Yellow Legs
*
rsq009 Res-Q 3 - Yellow Legs
Minifigures: Town: Res-Q
Marked for Deletion
with proper trans dark blue visor
please submit them to the catalog.

  004 and 008

Could you take straight on images instead of isometric views?

You know, somebody asks for something, then somebody else takes an hour out of
their day to provide it, then it's unappreciated.

If you don't want to use those, I don't have a problem with it. Somebody
else will step up with the "right kind" of images eventually.

I wasn't being unappreciative. I just asked a simple question since the standard
minifigure orientation in the catalog is from straight on. You could have just
said "no". Sheesh, chill out much?

Sorry to have obviously caught you at a bad time...

  How does someone confirm a set from "Sealed Set Contents" and not confirm the
minifigs are correct?

I was really suprised when I saw this.

While my memory of these sets is rather hazy (since I was about 3 when they came
out), two things make me lean towards Trans-Dark Blue for these Minifigs:

1.) In themes prior to 2000, those that feature prominently both visors and canopies
generally include both in the same colour (or, occasionally, visors in one of
the theme’s secondary colours - Blacktron I, Spyrius, Explorians). The only exception
to this, that I can think of, are the Aquazone Hydronauts.
2.) These Minifigs actually having Trans-Light Blue visors would make all
box-art and catalogue images incorrect, which would probably have been noticed
and documented by now.

  Please make changes to the following inventory:

Minifig No: rsq004  Name: Res-Q 1 - Helmet
*
rsq004 Res-Q 1 - Helmet
Minifigures: Town: Res-Q
Marked for Deletion

* Change 1 Part {Trans-Light Blue to Trans-Dark Blue} 2447 Minifigure, Visor Standard

I bought a sealed copy of

Set No: 6445 Name: Emergency Evac (Emergency Evacuation)
*
6445-1 (Inv) Emergency Evac (Emergency Evacuation)
93 Parts, 1 Minifigure, 1998
Sets: Town: Res-Q
so, if necessary, I will update

Minifig No: rsq004  Name: Res-Q 1 - Helmet
*
rsq004 Res-Q 1 - Helmet
Minifigures: Town: Res-Q
Marked for Deletion
and the inventory when I receive it.

Cheers,
Randy

Cool beans! I will get the inventories squared away.
