As I was done with inventorying I just went to display mine and he had a dark brown wand. So I double-checked with a sealed set and it had dark brown too. An oversight on Lego's part and then on mine.

Well, it wasn't an oversight on Lego's part.

When I got Harry and wands in another set, I gave him a reddish brown one without
bothering to check what was intended because it seemed right to me. And then
I made a silly assumption here a few weeks later.
