| BrickLink,
Before the upgrade of BrickLink, a user could fill his/her cart and then continue
to checkout as another user. This was very handy when ordering 1 order with several
people together.
Please, bring back this functionality!

Since you can't have more than one ID, how often would this be used? I have
never ordered something while another buyer waits behind me for their turn..

| I voted yes!
I`m a friend of Jan, Lego collector and living in the same city as Jan.
Often we building together, but I have my own lego collection and my own wantedlist.
But we are almost ordering in the same shops to keep the shipping-costs payable.
So the checkout as a different user was and is very useful to keep our own orders
separated.
Please bring back this functionally.

| Hallo!
You could use two different browsers.
Maybe firefox where Jan is logged it and opera where you are logged in
That's the way how I handle it when I order together with Lego friends.

Or logout and log back in.

Then you would have to fill the cart again which was not needed under the old
system.

IMHO, that a cart from a previous user was available to another one was a security
and privacy hole of the previous system.
So, you lose the “checkout as different user” but you win the “cart stays between
sessions, browsers, and systems.”

| SylvainLS,
I agree fully with this statement. Yet, it would be quite doable to program this
explicitly: make the checkout-as-other-user function transfer the shopping cart
contents explicitly.

| Brettj666,
Then your cart is lost, since your shopping cart is tied to your account since
the BrickLink upgrade. (It wasn't before)

| Christopher,
That doesn't work. This will either result in 2 seperate orders, or you'll
have to copy each lot from your cart to the cart of the 1st-order-owner.

Hi Jan!
I see what you mean.
If your suggestion is not implemented, you could continue with you being logged
in in one browser and your friend not logged in in another.
Once he filled his cart, you could log in and complete his batch.
Or he logs in and places an own order..
It's a bit more effort but would still work

| Brettj666,
I think you misunderstood the use-case. It's meant for the situation where
2 or more friends want to place a single order together, mostly to share the
shipping costs. These friends obviously have different accounts with each their
own set of wanted lists.
Jan.
