| Suggestion: Provide Admin support 24/7.
I think it is pretty clear to many users that BrickLink needs Admin support 24/7.
I even suspect that most users (both buyers and sellers) already expect service
24/7. We just had stores being closed automatically after an error due to maintenance,
we have seen hackers and scammers, and there are many other (major and minor)
problems being reported. For the major issue today, it took several hours (a
full working day in my timezone!) for the first initial Admin response.
In my opinion, the current Admin team is doing a good job, but we cannot expect
a few people to be available full time for all of us. There are many ways to
solve this problem, but we do not know if they are being considered by the people
who are actually in charge. Also, there is no way to ask for more support by
other methods than complaining to the current Admins.
Maybe a public discussion or a gathering of votes for this suggestion can demonstrate
that this is a serious problem that urgently needs a solution.

(Repost with a minor correction)
A possible indication of the problem was posted on the forum on Nov 29, 2015
18:40 EDT.
I think maintenance is between 01:50 and 02:00 EDT
In my timezone (GMT+1), it ends at 08:00, so just in time before a working day
starts.
First problem report on the forum: Nov 30, 2015 02:01 EDT
In the mean time, several forum treads were started about this issue.
First admin response: Nov 30, 2015 13:13
That would be 19:13 in GMT+1, so well after the regular working day ends.
That means:
- No admin support during the working day for sellers and buyers in Europe.
- People left in fear and uncertainty about having their store closed and inventory
purged for at least 11 hours.

BrickLink is an international commerce site, so from one perspective, this suggestion
makes perfect sense. Someone, somewhere is always awake and ready to use the
site.
On the flip side, what is the cost for 24 hour, seven day a week administrative
service? That is at least four full time positions, if there is one person covering
each shift. To cover those costs, fees will go up.
What is more desirable?

Fees go up, accept less profit, reorganise the team of programmers, there are
many solutions possible. Leave people in fear for over 11 hours is not the best
solution in my opinion.

I cannot see if people voted, but I was expecting more responses to my message.
Did it get lost between the other forum messages, or is there not much to say?

Not much to say.
Also: This is not something that BL would implement based on a forum suggestion.

Agreed, this decision is made "above admin level" but I thought a public discussion
accompanied with a lot of votes might help to get a clearer view on what the
users think BrickLink needs.

Voted yes. Even just a timely "we are aware of the problem, nothing to worry
about, just hang tight" would go a long way. 11 hours is too long to leave people
worrying about potential inventory, sales, and sorting time losses.
