Please make changes to the following inventory:

Set No: 6260 Name: Shipwreck Island
*
6260-1 (Inv) Shipwreck Island
64 Parts, 2 Minifigures, 1989
Sets: Pirates: Pirates I

* Change 5 Part Brown {2536 Plant, Tree Palm Trunk to 2536c Plant, Tree Palm Trunk - Short Connector, Axle Hole with 4 Inside Prongs}

Comments from Submitter:
Old item 2536 currently flagged as deleted. Replaced it with the correct part (4 prong short tree palm trunk w/ 4 inside prongs) using the set I owned as a confirmation of the correct type.

Did you buy your set new or used?

Technically my parents purchased the set years ago, and it was new at the time.
It was disassembled along the way, so I can't guarantee with 100% certainty
that the parts are exactly correct. However, it's extremely likely that they
are the right pieces - this was the only set that I had with a palm tree, and
I had exactly the right number of palm tree trunk pieces when I rebuilt the set.
I never had any used parts from other sources that included that piece, but there's
a slim chance I may have had another set that incorporated it - I did a quick
check and couldn't find any, however.

I'd been re-cataloging the lego set when I discovered Bricklink listed that
part as "deleted", so thought I'd go and update it based on my observations.

My only hesitation at this point is that this was the beginning year of these
palm pieces (1989) and normally the "c" version would not come first. And there
is no other inventory assignment for any of the variants yet, meaning no guidance
for a timeline. Anyone else have info on this part?

My set has 5 2536b's. I own this set since the early nineties. The other
set I have is 6276 which has 6 2536c's. As both sets are still in their original
box and I did not own any other sets with palm trees back then, it is unlikely
that the parts have been mixed.

2536b's should probably be listed as alternate parts.
