In my bricklink I get a notification if one of my items is marked for deletion.
I can then click on the new listed variants, check my items and list them again.
But sometimes new variants are listed without the original entry being deleted.
For example some time ago (over 6 months I think because I don't find the
thread anymore) I posted a question about the technic brick
which I also had in this variant:

but back then the difference was not yet listed in the catalog. Now I added some
more of them to my inventory and noticed that now we have this entry. So I checked
my already inventoried parts and was able to separate them and list them with
their new item number. It was only a coincidence that I noticed this.
It would be quite helpful for sellers to get a notification when new mold variants
are listed so they can check if their inventory is still correct.
