When the new team took over, I think everyone here only wanted to see improvements
to the search and wanted list. We've seen neither of those. Instead, we've
seen tons of MOC Shop spam and now they're taking advantage of Lego's
abandoned Cuusoo name to sell more MOC Shop items, which I think is a disgusting
move, even if it is legal.

Cuusoo was never Lego's name. They contracted Cuusoo to help fan-source new
ideas. Lego then ended their agreement / partnership with them when they realised
it was a good idea. Cuusoo are allowed to continue operating as a company, partnering
with whoever they like.
So long as Bricklink don't call it "Lego Cuusoo", then they are safe on the
legal side.
I'm not a fan of it, just as I'm not a fan of the MOC shop. But Cuusoo
shouldn't suffer just because lego no longer want to work with them.

"Cuusoo" is printed on the Lego boxes. The average person probably doesn't
know that Cuusoo is another company. It just seems like BL is trying to cash
in on Lego Cuusoo's reputation. I don't see any other explanation for
it because it seems pointless since the MOC Shop already exists.

Cuusoo is printed on the boxes as they were similar to co-promotions. What does
it matter what the average person thinks? Cuusoo is a company in it's own
right, and they are allowed to use their own name. Lego has not right over it.
Mojang is also printed on a number of boxes too, and they are also allowed to
create their own products separate from Lego. The same thing with McDonald's,
Shell, etc. Lego can has no right to their company names or trademarks or to
stop them working with another company once any agreement with them has finished.
If/when lego stops doing Minecraft sets, then they could legally switch to megabloks
or cobi if they wanted to.

Not always true - this is only speculation as I have no idea of the nature/content
of the legal agreement between LEGO and CUUSOO, but it is possible that LEGO
made stipulations about what CUUSOO could or could not do with regards to working
with construction bricks immediately after the end of contract and further time
after that. If CUUSOO agreed to those conditions when they committed to the initial
contract then they would need to abide by them afterwards or face legal ramifications.
My gut feeling, though, is that TLG would never have entered into a contract
with CUUSOO if they had any doubts about their integrity and I suspect that CUUSOO
is not breaking any agreements, that they may have had with TLG, with this latest
venture.

I've seen a huge improvement to the search in regard to this suggestion.
http://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=825130
I can actually stay here instead of running all over trying to find set numbers
so I can use BL's search.
Granted what I do is pretty limited so I'm sure other changes are still needed.
But let's give them some credit here.
A humorous side note here. If we all started posting our daily posts under suggestions.
...they would never purge

The CAs read this and started adding the word "polybag" to polybag descriptions.
Randyf noticed and submitted many more change requests, which is why you are
able to find many polybags this way (thanks Randy!). However tags would still
be a nice feature, as it isn't always practical to put every likely descriptor
in the catalog name.

How about this suggestion: Sell BrickLink to someone who actually cares about
the AFOL community. There are plenty of software engineers around here. Someone
like Steve Hassenplug would do a really great job updating the site without enraging
the entire community that supports it.

If you are talking about my blog, I am still learning. I'm novice in the
blogging area, but I am trying. If you find errors, I would love to see! I try
to fix the ones I notice. I simply am just trying to help out the community.
