| Just a post I was making in response to a post on the other thread but decided
to make it a suggestion so I can see other opinions.
I fear BL 2.0 becoming like every other website. Clean pages and nice graphics.
The nice graphics are... nice, but PLEASE don't make BL full of blank pages
with no information. What I mean is, in example, on my recd orders page, I can
see on one row: order number, buyer, country, total, items, lots, shipping, credit,
grand total, payment method, shipping method, order status, feedback, tracking
number, etc.
If BL 2.0 wants clean and nice pages, at least make them in a way that you can
see as much info at a glance as you can now. Or maybe optional, or only on determined
pages?
You know what... a thought that just came to my head is that they should make
BL 2.0 as just a revamp of the actual BL. Nicer graphics, more features, etc,
but keep the basics the same. Why fix it if it ain't broken? The in-store
buying method in my opinion is great. It's really quick since you can add
items to your cart a lot at the same time and not 1 by 1 as on other sites. And
so on.
A lot of other pages here are great concepts, but maybe need some modifications.
What I mean, is that, why destroy everything and make something new? At least
take the BL concepts that are great and work from there.
Of course I don't know what's going on behind the scenes.

| I'm agree with you! I also think than the actual BL site is great and he
just need somes new features. Also, if it's possible to standardize all parts
pics in numeric 3D size.
Enjoy!

In another words, don't destroy Dan's beauty, but improve on it.
I like this site over BO's or Feebay's interface. Pretty much, keep it
simple, quick and least amount of clicks needed to get things done. As far as
the code goes, I don't know anything about it.
I am not saying there is no work to be done,, just don't scrap what is working.

Basically don't turn this into what happened to YouTube. (If you don't
know, it is basically getting taken over with google plus.)

| i would imagine BL2.0 would emphasise on making things easier for sellers anyway
and also be able to support a lot more members, coz this lego thing dooesnt seem
to be getting smaller
from a older customers point of view i dont want too much changed, this place
works and work well, super fast now compared to a couple of years ago too haha.
on other sites im on, a lot of them have some form of activity monitor where
you get a notifications, regarding replies to forums you`ve chimed in on or "clicked"
a button to follow.
also a shoutbox, its running all the time, anybody can see it or turn it off,
you can click on the shoutbox and it basically becomes a chatroom....fun
quite a lot of sales were generated through the old chat room, lots of noobies
helped, lots of underaged members removed from the site...these things are still
important...yes?

| I'm disturbed by the disappearance of the minifig who sits on the bog when
the site's down for maintenance.
Where does he go now?

Seconded. Stormtroopers doing silly things are kewl but the graphics on this
site oughta be protected by some sort of historical zoning.
