| Wanted list item needs status: "Item ordered".
When I buy something from the wanted list, I change the max price to 0.00001
or something so item doesn't show on the next shop's "show wanted parts" list.
This is the only way to mark what items are already bought.
Not the best way, but don't know any better.
Deleting parts from the list is not the best choise because if order is lost
or some part is missing, you have to add those parts all over again to the wanted
list.
I delete them when items are in my hand.
Or maybe someone has better idea to do this?

| Good idea! I'd go further and suggest showing how many of each item were bought.

| Like the idea, but usually what I do is make a new Wanted List and name it "ordered
storename" - and move the parts I ordered over to that (ordered) wanted list.
You can then "filter it out" / not check the "ordered" wanted list(s) when continuing
your search.
That way, if I don't like the condition of what I received in the order - I can
move it back (out of "ordered"). I usually make a wanted list for each project
I'm working on. I think I have abou 30 wanted lists / ordered lists right now.
I like the idea though. You may get a "yes" from me.

| yes I too just move the ordered item into a new wanted list adding 'order 5'
to remarks.
The problem I face is that if I order 2x a thing when I need x5 then have to
go back through the ordered list to see what I still need.
the whole thing is less than ideal!

I have an extra wanted list which I call 'Items ordered' and all I do is move
those parts that I have ordered into that separate list and simply eliminate
that list from my next search/look for stuff I want, so the bits I've already
ordered don't show up.
This is made even easier if you enable the 'Items in Order in Wanted List' icon
on your Orders Placed page because when you click on that it shows all the items
in the order that you placed that are actually on any of your wanted lists and
you can move them all in one go (to your separate Items Ordered wanted list).
Saves you having to do it one by one, or indeed changing the max price for each
to 0.00001 as you do.
My Items Ordered list just sits there then and I can delete the parts from it
as they arrive (again made easier by using the same 'Items in Order in Wanted
List' facility mentioned above). Plus it's there ready for future use too.
This method works very well for me

| Thanks for the tip!
Haven't ever noticed that there are more settings behind "Orders Placed Columns"
link.
Bricklink is full of personal settings, and that's a good thing
That feature makes things easier, but still I would like to have a real "ordered"
list and items in that list are ignored in wanted searches.

It's a good idea for sure and could be fairly easily incorporated into the My
Wanted List page. I suppose it would basically be the same as what I do but 'officially'
as-it-were.
I voted Yes anyway

I do something very similar: I create a wanted list for each individual order
that I place, then move (when I order all of an item I need) or copy (when I
order less than the total needed) each item from my Main wanted list to that
order's wanted list.

I usually put the following in the notes section ORDERED (qty) or HAVE (qty)..
If I wish to keep it on my list but dont wan it to show on details and I have
or have ordered the parts I also put .001 in the maximum price which removes
it from the lists however it doesn't remove the notes.
I voted yes to this because it would be easier however it would be nice if that
information also displayed itself in stores carts as the notes do so that you
don't double buy.

One good reason to add this suggestion is because I belive this 0.0001 habit
strains database queries - at least when you have long wanted list, like one
I'm having now (nothing unnessessary).
I have had several database errors lately, but don't know is it because my long
list? But started after I added that long list.
Nasty consequences anyway, e.g. cart information text (one between "view cart"
etc buttons and "search store") vanishes after clicking "Show All Items this
store has on my Wanted List".
