The dirty part i can't comment on. In the photo all i see is a bit of cardboard
dust which is perfectly normal on parts that come loose in a set. You just blow
it away. I have never seen a 'dirty' part in all my years using Lego.
Though you never know.
The scuff marks on the aircraft fuselage, whilst i can't see them in the
photo, are normal too. Black is the one of the worst offenders, and black parts
with large smooth areas even worse again. Between manufacturing, processing
and packaging, parts are constantly banging together causing this. I have had
to sell many a black part from a new set as a used part due to scuff marks and
scratches.
Whether it is acceptable or not is up to the individual. Lots of pros and
cons on both sides. Whilst i don't want to have scuff marks or scratches
on a windshield of a $500 set (which Lego has been trying to rectify to their
credit), a few scuff marks on a set like you have, which is a $20 set, well it
happens. The added costs to stop this happening would not be viable.

|
No, it’s “Simon”: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simon_(game)
It’s based on the children game: the machine lights the 4 coloured buttons in
a sequence, with accompanying sounds, and you need to repeat the sequence by
hitting the buttons.

I may be getting too deep into changing out HDRI files in the render folder and
stylizing the renderings. (I like rendering and creating scenes because it is
almost like I am playing with the set). Is the preference to keep the renderings
simple? For example, which rendered image below is better for model presentation?
(The one with the orange hint is using the default "building" light domain
while the one with the blacker blacks and shinier bricks is a homebrew.)

Hi and welcome
The admins moderate the designs according to these guidelines: https://studiohelp.bricklink.com/hc/en-us/articles/360042355033-Studio-Gallery-submission-guidelines
Until a design is accepted, it’s “Display Only.”
For your two public designs, you clearly state you’ve copied someone else’s intellectual
property. They’ll stay Display Only.
If you have posted another design, and it has been set to Private, then check
the guidelines link above to understand why.

| Hello
I am looking for instructions to build a LEGO Rover 25.
I don't think that Lego have ever produced anything like this, the closest
I can find is the Land Rover, and I've been on a search engine hunt for any
MOCs and haven't found anything (and keep getting results for Space Rovers).
Can anyone point me in the right direction please? I have had a play with the
Studio, but I'm finding it a bit out of my skills set.
Thank you

I bought it for myself in the fall of 1998 when I was 23 years old.
I never had a single LEGO set growing up. But don't feel bad for me. The
toys I grew up with were Transformers (had almost every single character), He-Man
and the Masters of the Universe (had almost every single character), Hasbro Star
Wars (had almost all of the original figures, vehicles, and play sets), Micro
Machines, and yes... GoBots.

oh my goodness! I love He-Man! I have nearly have all of the Motu origins figures!
and am also a huge fan of Go-Bots! this is my collection.

I think the first lego item I was given was 6007
but the real building set was 6918
My grandma gave it to me for Christmas, no idea how she decided on that specific
set, but I'm sure glad she did!
Made it through my set selloff and dark ages. Pulled it out and built it again
a couple years ago, still in great shape.

Strange is that this one mine is in a yellow bucket:
The fourth one lost all their side stickers, but was a yellow cube too.

First set I remember that was bought to me new was 6601-1, a small ice cream
cart. I had some second hand Legos before, but that was first that I got to choose
from a toy store.

| When I was a kid I played with Lego but that was back in the late 60's
early 70's when themes were not that prevalent and there wasn't much
of a variety of pieces so I just remember having Lego bricks in general and after
many years of not playing with them they just stayed in the past. Then about
15 years ago I had a friend that while being in his late 20's still loved
Lego. His appreciation of Lego would cause me to every once
in a while to stroll down the Lego isle at the local Walmart store and I eventually
decided to give Lego a try and bought this set:
I was surprised at the tolerances used in the making of the pieces, the way doors
would pass by other pieces soo smoothly without catching on other pieces. Unlike
almost all other plastic toys, Lego seemed to care about quality. Another thing
that I really appreciated was how relaxing I found it to be to just sit down
after work and build part of a set while listening to music or watching a video.
I really enjoyed that.

I never had LEGO as a kid. The first set I ever worked on was
when I found it mostly built in a bin of loose LEGO from a rummage sale. I was
buying it for my son, but it led me to BrickLink.
The first set I bought just for myself was probably:

| Most likely something like
Since we still have that. Maybe some Duplo Bricks.
I have memories of Being the first 'real' LEGO I got.
I got this for my first day at school.

Not sure which sets were the first that I got. Looking through the catalog there
are some sets I owned that were released in the year I was born. I guess those
were still for sale when my parents decided that I was old enough to play with
Lego. Some of my earliest memories of Lego involve sets

My very first full and complete set was -
I got it brand new for my 6th birthday.
However I had been given used Lego prior to this, which included -
and
and some other random bits & bobs.
Loved those sets BITD.

| I don't think I had one. My childhood LEGO was second hand, we had a bucket
full of it. But no sets, instructions, or boxes. Maybe that is why I have always
enjoyed building MOCs.
