There are some errors.

| I mentioned something about this a while back, but I'm sure there has been
no shortage of suggestions for admin since the update. I think you guys do a
really good job and overall I have been quite pleased with the update, and responses
to issues. However, I would like to pose the following fallacy for consideration.
Like many sellers, I sell items of all conditions including those with playwear
and marks. This often doesn't matter to the customer if the price is right,
and they are aware of the discrepancy, however, I have had several customers,
especially those new to Bricklink, inadvertently purchase items with playwear,
paintwear, etc. Even though I include a disclaimer for these items in my description
for each one, the customers can't see the description unless they take the
time to click on the item, which opens up the item in the seller's store
and shows the full description. Otherwise, if they are shopping through the
wanted list feature, all they see is the default picture and description for
the part provided by Bricklink, which is generally attractive and new looking.
Even if they are purchasing a used item with discrepancies this is what they
see. As you might imagine, it would be quite disappointing to receive parts
that have play marks unexpectedly.
I was wondering if there would be a way to make the discrepancy note appear on
the items without having to physically click on it and open it up, because that
is quite time consuming for the buyer if they are buying a lot of things, and
many buyers are apparently not aware that they would need to do so in order to
see if the piece has discrepancies. Or, perhaps, a heading could be provided
on used items to let the customer know that they should click on the item to
see if it has discrepancies.
In any case, the current situation also poses an unfair problem for the seller,
which could result in unhappy customers and negative feedback. Currently, if
a new customer places an order with me that includes pieces with discrepancies,
I send them an an email before I invoice them to make sure that they are aware
that they have purchased items with discrepancies. This is a bit of a hassle
for me, and often ends in a canceled order. I suppose that is better than negative
feedback, but it seems that there should be a more streamlined approach.
Thank you for your consideration on addressing this problem. If anything that
I have mentioned needs clarifying, or if I am missing something, please let me
know as I am more than happy to discuss further.

In my set (which has instructions and virtually all parts), 2 blue medium gears were suppplied and 2 large yellow. Although we've lost some of the bushings, all other part counts match up: 7 grey bricks with holes, 4 of each type of wheel, 6 small red gears, etc. So I'm pretty confident about this being an alternate production run -- similar to what I see for set 812-1.

Could very well be, especially if the set is from the Canadian market. Typically
all sets were boxed with Canadian-produced boxes and instructions, and the contents
sometimes were altered depending on what Samsonite had on hand.
Does your box have a piece count printed on it?

I hope I did this right -- I think the number of these counterparts just needs to match the number of the regular items, i.e., 4 small smooth dual tire sets, as shown in the instructions (2 at the rear of the first tanker, and 2 on the second tanker).

You are correct. Many wheeled counterparts were added en masse and sometimes
there were clerical mistakes like this that slipped through.

Hello,
It appears that the original part: 15457, and new alternate parts: 4716 and 15462,
were never shown to be used in the instructions. They were only ever used in
the additional instructions for 42026 + 42027 which were available online. As
such, I am changing all the parts in question to Extras.

| Please restore the max price filter in a store's wanted list results so that
it hides overpriced items. Or at least gray out the entire entry so that it's
easier to find the items that are under my max price. It can of course be an
option alongside the other filters.
Simply showing overpriced items with the price in red is makes acceptable prices
very hard to spot, especially when the good prices are in black like all the
other text. I use the wanted list extensively to find utility parts at good prices
so I can pad out my order. Having a store turn up hundreds of overpriced results
when they only have 5 parts that fit my criteria is useless.

| I've always found the part (or set) input within "sell a part" lacking. Let's
say I look under a part, find the number, and put it in. I click "show catalog
info" (for price, etc), but it shows "page not found". Why? Because that number
that I input was not the number bricklink chose as the "main" number. Once I
track down the piece, I will often see that first number on that item's page,
as "alternate item no."
Take 42023. That has 41763 as an alternate number, but if I put that in, "page
not found".
Suggestion #1:
If there is an alternate number for an item, it will auto-redirect to the correct
page, with the correct number. A small note at the top saying it was redirected
would be nice. Also, if the number "form" spot would auto change to the correct
number, that could also be nice. No more looking right at the item and number,
but having it do no good, because there is an unknown 2nd, 3rd, etc. number.
Suggestion #2:
I find it rather annoying to put in a number, and have it not find the item,
just because I get 1 of the 4 or 5 wrong. I think BL should maybe add a number
suggestion page. Let's say I have a 3004 (you know what that is), but let's
say I can't tell the number, and I think it's 8004. That is another item
entirely. If I put that in parts, it will show "page not found". I think it could
be massively helpful if it instead said something like "no part with that number
found. One set with "8004" matches (shows set) and one part with 75% number match,
"3004" (shows part)" You can then clearly see, "oh yeah, it IS 3004" or, "oops,
I'm on add part, not add set." It would speed some things up

I hope I did this right -- I think the number of these counterparts just needs to match the number of the regular items, i.e., 4 small smooth dual tire sets, as shown in the instructions (2 at the rear of the first tanker, and 2 on the second tanker).

voted NO
there has been a time when MSRP was 'mentioned' in the menus, I'm
glad (and many others with me) it got removed. MSRP is different in different
parts of the world and is only a guideline / valid when a set is still *actively*
running. Once it's end-of-life it becomes irrelevant what MSRP *used to be*,
so it would require active 'control' over the database and the priceguide
and even that wouldn't be accurate, as end-of-life ain't equal in all
regions at the same time... So it's falsified data that has no place whatsoever
on a selling website, such data is available on 'non commercial' websites,
quite fine IMHO.

the color for this part is the bottom and not the top
blue inside with white bottom
so we have to choice the color in the listing (and that's blue)
