Yes, they do sell.

Add note stating that they are faded/yellowed and price accordingly.

Some parts can be very discoloured where you can see a yellow brown colour, these
can sell but not so easily.

I believe some buyers don’t mind when trying to match what they already have.

Having variations in colour of something like a wall in a moc may give it a more
realistic look of age.

My experience only, others may disagree.

In Colors, SurplusParts writes:
Thanks for those that answered yesterday, i have a follow up question regarding
Light Grey.

Whilst i sell a bit of used parts, they have all been mostly good conditioned
from the last 10 to 15 years. I am know getting into sorting older stuff out
and have found a lot of old space in light grey from the early 1980's.

Yesterdays post i learnt about 'fading' or 'yellowing' of the
light grey. The parts that i have found are in great condition, only some have
faded badly. The colour is very consistent across the entire part though, which
i assume means that the colour has just faded out of the part over years exposed
to light. As opposed to say a more modern part that might just have one side
sun damaged from exposure to UV light directly. Is this correct?

Second part of my question is are these faded parts sellable? In the first photo
the left wedge plate is good, the far right plate is faded and not good. However
the one in the middle with a medium fade. Is this something you would sell?
Or maybe should i collect them all and sell in a custom lot as faded old space
parts?

I have found many good printed parts, such as in the second photo, and i would
hate to waste them.

Thanks
Douglas

Top and right on second row.

Most would call them faded as would I.

In Colors, SurplusParts writes:
Just wanted some help to confirm my identification. I've been looking at
these parts for a few minutes and was going a little crazy.

Part No: 3650a Name: Technic, Gear 24 Tooth Crown - Not Reinforced
*
3650a Technic, Gear 24 Tooth Crown - Not Reinforced
Parts: Technic, Gear {Light Gray}

According to the catalogue, was only ever made in Light Gray. But i seem to
have 4 in LBG. Obviously they stopped making this part well before the changeover
of colours, so are these just parts in an odd Light Grey?

Top one is Light Grey, then there is one of each colour in the 4185 wheel as
a control group. So the 4 at the bottom are?

Thanks
Douglas

Thanks to you both, appreciate you looking.

Just worked out it’s the lot ID not a part number.

When you get an order and ship it out, do you print out their order and put it
in the package, and if so do you use color or black and white. Or do you not
even put one at all? Currently, I print out one sided black and white and was
told by my significant other that looks bad and cheap. Thoughts?

I've seen both. It doesn't matter. It's a nice touch if the order
is large, but in general, you're in a minority and it's not necessary.

...but as others have said, PLEASE provide the order number somewhere in the
package.

YES YES YES!

Thank you!

Yes, but difficult to say what there value is, you are looking at collectors
of 2 x 4’s including test bricks.

Does these have any value?

I don’t do anything special, just post feedback to all of my buyers once marked
completed or if they’ve been there for a month or so.

Feedback has definitely dropped away as have buyers marking orders as received
or completed.

I believe my feedback was approx 66 - 67 % from my previous location, my store
at my new location ( 2 years after closing ) is now running at approx 50 %.

In Selling, NerdyBirdBricks writes:
I've noticed a few times buyers that leave feedback with other stores they've
bought from but not from ours. By no means do I think that we are doing an inadequate
job and the praise we do receive is wonderful so I am not trying to sound greedy
I just want to know what sellers do to increase their likelihood of buyers leaving
them feedback.

Do you send out a message asking for them to leave it?

Do you include a note in the order itself seeking it?

I have left feedback with them already but haven't received anything back,
we are still a fairly small operation, but I am confident that I am doing a great
job in quickly getting orders out and packaging contents safely and well so just
wondering if I need to be more bold about how I approach receiving praise from
others because it would help our store greatly!

Thanks for your time,

-Samantha

I have a similar approach to weeds/wildlife in the sense that whatever wants

today.... nettles, Long grasses and that one with the yellow flowers is wild

Eleven years and today you hit it. What will your BrickLink profile look like
in another eleven, I wonder?

Used to really enjoy this type of milestone in others. Still do, apparently

Thanks guys, I guess because I already have the 16k ebay account I let it drift
under the radar a bit but I had still noticed it creeping closer to that 5k milestone
and now that you mention it I do appreciate the Orange brick particularly as
it fits in with my Logo colour scheme ha ha In fact I think I’d rather it
stay Orange right up until (if I ever) reach Violet! Don’t really want to be
a Pink or Tan brick

Either way you look to be doing pretty good yourself Cory with that, getting
on 7k flawless feedback though we’re probably on borrowed time now with the law
of averages set well against us but I'm sure like me you will appreciate
it while it continues...

One things for sure, I’m getting more and more frustrated with ebay and their
increasingly more challenging hoops to jump through along with glitches that
prevent most of my items being visible on ebay.com (USA trade) along with serious
category glitches that most people on ebay are unaware of where certain keyword
searches hide the majority of matching results
hence I’ve been moving a lot more of my business to BL and seeing a steady increase
in orders therefore I suspect the next 5k will come sooner than 11 years I hope
