Some late copies of this set included part 4180c01 Brick, Modified 2 x 4 with Wheels, Train Spoked Small (23mm D.) with red pins instead of black pins.

Regarding the curved interference-free rail included in this set, the timeline for inclusion in sets is believed to be as follows:

  • 1985: Part 3241c (interference-free rail without wire) with part 117983a (shown in the Regular Items section).
  • 1986-1987: Part 2731b (rail/wire with long connector) with part 117983b (shown in the Alternate Items section).
  • 1988-1990: Part 2731a (rail/wire with short connector) with part 117983b (shown in the Alternate Items section).
