| Hi - Samonsite produced a bunch of Basic Sets in the early 1970s that were sold
via catalog through retailers like Sears and JCPenney. These sets were simply
in brown cardboard boxes vs more traditional marketing packaging. I don't
see these in the Bricklink catalog. Can they be added? I'm specifically
interested in seeing the "LEGO Samsonite 846 Piece Basic Set" added as
I have one in an open box but sealed original plastic bags I'd like to list.
Here is a link to Brick Economy with the specific set I'm interested in but
you'll see a bunch of similar Samsonite era sets that I don't see on
Bricklink...
https://www.brickeconomy.com/set/SID00125040-1/lego-samsonite-846-piece-basic-set
Apologies if this is in the Bricklink catalog already and I've just missed
it. In that case, if someone could point me in the right direction that would
be helpful!
Thanks!

Due to their age, it's likely that few people have had an opportunity to
inventory these sets, if you search for Samsonite in the catalog you will find
a category for Samsonite. Some Samsonite entries lack piece count details and
have no inventory at all. The first thing you will need to do is figure out which
set number you have and then submit an inventory for it, if one does not already
exist.
Please post images of the bags, as this can help properly identify which set
you have.
That's a wonderful find you have there.
Cheers ...

I have a couple of these. one is gear set 001 and the other is 310 truck set.
they use the normal lego inner box/tray inserted into a cardboard mailing box
with the sears catalog number on it.

Can you add some images of your set to this post, so we have an idea which set
you are talking about?
Thanks,
Diana
