| Taking in to consideration the recent thread about accidentally inflating prices,
I spent some time looking at the most desirable parts from a set I'm preparing
to part out 5x of. Half the set was adjusted up, half the set was adjusted down
from the 6 month average.
Then I decided I wanted to give one of them to someone as a gift. So is there
a hack in Brickstore to adjust the quantities down by 20%, or should I just upload
5 and then upload another one at -1?
It's not the end of the world if it's too much of a PITA.

Quantities?
You can set them up, multiply or divide.
You COULD multiply them by 100 then divide them by 80 or such.
But it won't work because some divisions won't provide integer results...
And this is an hazardous way to proceed.
Instead:
* keep the file with the 5x sets and the price you set
* make another one with 4x the sets
* use Edit/Copy values from the 5x sets, to the 4x sets, and copy the prices
only
Upload the 4x, tada

I think I stopped trying the cut and paste a few versions ago when something
went horribly wrong. Despite highlighting the entire column when I pasted whatever
data I wanted copied it applied the first value only to all 900 lots. I'll
try it again when I get home.

I just tried, it works.
But you've to start form the 4x set list, select the 5x list as the source,
ignore everything BUT price.
Works in 1 click.
Just try on a throwable document with prices like $1 $2 $3 or such easy to check.

PS: you don't have to select anything anywhere.
It'll copy the values you ask, to all lots of the target document that exist
in the source document.

AAAAAAhhhhhh.... Ah ha! I was using hotkeys, not the "copy values from
document" in the menu.
That did the trick, thank you so much!

The trick with BrickStore, like many applications you discover: do NOT try it
on production, but use silly files or imaginary examples (I would part this out,
I would have those parts...), and try EVERY menu and field and function. Just
practice on dummy cases and files to figure out what will help you in production

Copy all the items you need to subtract to a new file, divide by 5, multiply
by -1, then copy/paste (merge all) with your other document set to existing lot
and ignore all.

It's not the end of the world if it's too much of a PITA.
